Chapter 213: Borrowing a Knife to Kill

~7 min read 1,378 words

The madam stepped forward a few paces, looking at Jun Zhidie, who was currently clinging to a guest preparing to enter the Chunxiang Pavilion.

The madam realized she had been drugged with an aphrodisiac and felt a slight sense of worry.

But judging by Jun Zhidie’s posture and behavior, this girl did not seem like a respectable young lady; she had definitely experienced the ways of the world.

The madam set her mind at ease; this girl was indeed a good seedling who could make money.

She hurriedly signaled the brothel attendants, and with a flurry of activity, they hauled Jun Zhidie into the Chunxiang Pavilion.

Once inside the Chunxiang Pavilion, the madam arranged a room for Jun Zhidie and called in several strong, sturdy men to help her detoxify.

If she wanted her to earn money, she had to be detoxified first, right?

Over here, Jun Ziqin and He Linger exchanged a smile, then dressed as men and swaggered into the Chunxiang Pavilion, ordering a pot of wine to watch the spectacle.

On the other side, Quan Aoyu was harboring a belly full of mischief; the scene that girl had arranged had to be used to get his second brother to the Chunxiang Pavilion to take a look.

Quan Aoyu slipped out of the palace in a flash. As soon as he stepped into the Prince Qi Wang Fu, Quan Qiming was drinking tea.

Quan Aoyu said:

"The tea at Second Brother’s place is always more fragrant; I’ve come to beg for a cup."

Quan Qiming raised his eyes to see Quan Aoyu and inexplicably shivered.

"What leisure do you have to come find me for tea today?"

Quan Aoyu chuckled and leaned in.

"I was bored; Big Brother’s head is full of business, Third and Fifth Brothers surely wouldn't welcome me, and Fourth Brother went to the military camp, so I had to try my luck to see if Second Brother was at the residence."

"It’s late at night, where else would I be if not at the residence?"

"I heard that a girl named 'Celestial' came to the Chunxiang Pavilion today. She is truly a beauty who could sink fish and drop geese, eclipse the moon and shame the flowers—her looks are simply peerless! I thought you had gone to the Chunxiang Pavilion, Second Brother."

Quan Qiming was already obsessed with female beauty; in the back courtyard of the Wang Fu, there were as many beauties as stars, each one with a lovely face and graceful bearing.

Yet even so, hearing of such a peerless beauty, his heart still itched with desire.

The thought he had just been pondering—why Quan Aoyu had come to drink tea so late at night—was now cast to the nine heavens without hesitation.

Quan Qiming stood up impatiently, straightened his robes, and said:

"Oh? There is such a beauty? Then what are we waiting for? Let us go at once."

Quan Aoyu felt secretly pleased, a wicked smile curling his lips, but he said:

"Perhaps we shouldn't go? Although the Celestial girl at the Chunxiang Pavilion is indeed as beautiful as a fairy, the beauties in your back courtyard are not bad either."

"How can 'not bad' compare to someone who looks like a celestial? If you aren't going, I’ll go myself; please yourself."

Quan Qiming said this and started to walk out.

"Hey, I’m really afraid of you. If my Dandan knew I went there, she definitely wouldn't pay me any mind, so I won't go. I’ll go find Little Seven to play instead."

After saying this, he walked out.

"Let’s go, Second Brother, let’s go out together."

The two left the Prince Qi Wang Fu, and Quan Qiming galloped toward the Chunxiang Pavilion.

Seeing this ancestor, the madam hurriedly put on a face full of smiles and swayed over to greet him.

"Master, you haven't been here for a long time. You’re in luck today; a girl as beautiful as a celestial just arrived."

Quan Qiming stuffed a large ingot of gold into the madam’s hand.

"Arrange the 'Celestial Pavilion' for me and buy the first night of your Celestial girl. This is the deposit; the price is negotiable."

As it happened, the Celestial Pavilion was right next door to Jun Zhidie.

The gold was heavy, and as soon as the madam took it, the smile on her face became even more sycophantic. She bowed and scraped repeatedly, twisting her waist as she led him into the Celestial Pavilion.

"Master, please wait a moment; the Celestial girl will be here shortly."

The madam bowed and scraped as she retreated.

Quan Qiming was burning with impatience; he walked into the room hurriedly, and before the chair was even warm, he faintly heard moans and the heavy, ragged breathing of a man coming from next door.

Just as Quan Qiming was being driven to distraction by the sounds and pacing back and forth, a woman’s roar came from next door:

"You bunch of cowards, get me some other men in here!"

He was startled; he recognized that voice!

He stood up abruptly, knocking the teacup on the table to the floor, where it shattered into pieces.

He strode to the door, pushed it open, and looked in the direction of the sound. The scene before him made his blood boil instantly; his eyes widened until they were round, almost popping from their sockets.

He saw Jun Zhidie with her hair disheveled, emitting soft moans from her mouth, her expression dazed.

She was in the room with several men, engaging in those shameful acts while coquettishly scolding the men for not being vigorous enough.

Quan Qiming’s chest heaved violently, his hands clenched into tight fists.

This woman had gone to his residence just last night, shamelessly pestering him to favor her, yet today she was doing such things here.

He felt nothing but unbearable humiliation.

"Slut! Slut!"

Quan Qiming roared, a sound that seemed as if it would collapse the entire Chunxiang Pavilion.

The men in the room were startled by the sudden roar; their movements stopped instantly, and they turned their heads in terror to look at Quan Qiming, who stood at the doorway like a demon god descending.

"You... you all..."

Quan Qiming pointed a trembling finger at the people in the room, his throat seemingly choked by something, unable to speak a complete sentence.

Some of them didn't even have time to put on their clothes before fleeing one after another.

The man who had been on top of Jun Zhidie was so frightened he jumped, wanting to push Jun Zhidie away and hide.

But he was tightly entangled by Jun Zhidie and couldn't shake off the person hanging on him no matter what. He was covered in sweat, wishing he could bite Jun Zhidie to death.

After finally prying Jun Zhidie off, he slipped away and hid under the table.

Quan Qiming walked toward Jun Zhidie step by step, wanting only to kill this woman and erase that humiliation.

Jun Zhidie had regained some clarity by now and subconsciously said:

"Prince Qi, why have you come?"

Before the words were finished, she saw Quan Qiming pounce like a crazed beast, his hands tightly gripping Jun Zhidie’s throat.

His fingernails sank deep into her skin, and he roared incessantly:

"I will kill you, you shameless woman!"

Jun Zhidie’s eyes widened in terror at the sudden turn of events; she wanted to struggle but was firmly restrained by Quan Qiming.

She desperately pried at Quan Qiming’s hands with both of hers, trying to break free.

But Quan Qiming’s strength was astonishing; her feet left the ground, her hands flailed wildly in the air, and a "gurgling" sound came from her throat.

Jun Zhidie’s struggles gradually grew weak, and her complexion turned a bruised purple.

"You bitch, how dare you betray me!"

Quan Qiming gritted his teeth and said, word by word; each word seemed squeezed from between his teeth, carrying endless hatred.

A crazed light flickered in his eyes, and the strength in his hands grew greater and greater. Jun Zhidie’s struggles gradually faded until she finally went limp in his hands, breathless.

The madam, who had come upstairs to check on the commotion, screamed in terror.

"Ah, murder!"
