Chapter 118: Launch Announcement
Here's a belated launch announcement. I won't waste words getting sentimental — let's start with what everyone cares about most: updates.
On the first day of going premium, I'll release 6 chapters (2 chapters after midnight tonight, and 4 tomorrow). Because I fell ill over the New Year, my backlog plan fell through, so everything is being written and released in real time. July's typing speed is only this fast — please bear with me. In any case, you won't get fewer chapters in the end.
For March, I'll maintain a pace of three chapters a day.
So I hope everyone can support the official Qidian version and subscribe — at the very least, a first subscription, meaning the subscription for the first chapter. This metric is extremely, extremely important to July.
For readers with monthly tickets, if possible, I hope you'll cast your March monthly tickets for me. My deepest thanks!
In short, after graduating in June, July will begin writing full-time. From then on, whether I eat well or go hungry depends entirely on reader subscriptions. I hope everyone will give me a bowl of rice to eat.
……
Now that we've covered updates, it's time for thanks. Readers are the first I must thank, followed by family and my editor. I'll thank them privately — no need to repeat it here.
So in this launch announcement, I want to thank a special group of people.
I thank the archaeologists and historians who excavated and organized the Shuihudi Qin bamboo slips, the Liye Qin slips, the Zhangjiashan Han bamboo slips, and other Qin and Han dynasty bamboo and wooden documents.
Without their tireless work, bringing the grassroots laws of the Qin dynasty and the true face of ordinary Qin people's lives back into the world, there would be no "Qin Official."
So, I thank them. I am merely a porter of materials, but I also hope to contribute my humble efforts to popularizing these achievements. Therefore, while keeping the story from becoming dull, I will still do my textual research where it's due — at the very least, I must be worthy of my own field of study.
I also want to thank Zhang Busan and his "Guide to Time-Traveling to the Qin Dynasty," as well as Mr. Li Kaiyuan and his "Qin Enigma" trilogy. It was precisely these two fascinating historical popularization books that gave me the inspiration to write. Some viewpoints in the novel are also inherited from them. If you're interested, you can check them out.
……
Lastly, at midnight, the system may lag or I may fumble with the unfamiliar operations, causing the updates to not come out on time. Please don't be impatient.
I won't say much more — I'll save the words for the main text. Volume One, "The Petty Chief," has concluded. Volume Two, "The Six Kings Are Vanquished," is about to begin.
I hope readers who like this book can show their support!
