End-of-Volume Thoughts and a Request for One or Two Days Off!

The stored draft and detailed outline were long gone; these past few days, just to keep updating, I basically slept only six and a half hours a day and ate two meals. I had barely lain down when I was startled awake, got up to check if there were any issues, then wrote whatever I could manage.

Although I managed to hit the word count, lack of rest left my head dizzy and my mind foggy. Every time I woke up and looked at the chapters I wrote while pulling an all-nighter, I felt they were sloppy, not following the emotional arc planned in the outline, so I had to go back and revise; chapters 96 and 97 were edited again.

After all, figuring out the best way to handle the plot requires time to think; with a clear mind and sharp senses, one can gauge the heat, but when writing in a dazed state, it is hard to feel the proper measure, merely pushing the plot forward without emotion.

So I will still take tomorrow off to finish writing the detailed outline for the next volume before picking up the pen, or maybe two days!

Although the cost is high and I will surely drop on the Monthly Vote Rankings, Aguan cannot make the same mistakes as before, not knowing tomorrow's plot and forcing out filler just to update, so I hope the big shots can understand, or two.

Although it has been two months since the book started, Aguan has actually been writing this new book for a year.

Work on the new book's settings began last April; Aguan originally wanted to write a book to let myself go, but insufficient grounding couldn't support it, and with the Dao Heart damaged and unable to find my state, I wrote over a dozen versions of the opening.

There was cyber-wuxia "Chaos Ranger," despairing cultivation "Ascension is the Apocalypse," Phantom Beast Palu-style "What Did You Do to It," historical wuxia "Your Highness, Please Behave Yourself," and so on, but all felt awkward; I wasted who knows how many words, only finding a bit of a feel early this year, which led to this book.

Actually, this book was originally called "Tears of the Heroine."

"Ming Long" was the name conceived before "Heroine, Wait a Moment" started; the story didn't fit, so it was never actually used.

However, the two books have no connection; I am simply writing out stories I had conceived before but hadn't written yet.

This book's performance far exceeded Aguan's expectations; I thought I was done for, and I never expected that after a year without starting a book, so many big shots would still remember Aguan.

Thank you all for your strong support; I bow my head in gratitude here, and I will do my utmost to write well in the future, or two!

I am taking tomorrow off to write the detailed outline; I hope everyone can understand, or two!

Spoilers below; friends who are nurturing the book, do not look, or two!

Adding a brief overview of the Demon-Suppressing Mausoleum's general flow.

Ye Hongshang's former wisp of divine sense was sealed inside the umbrella, while True Person Qixia was placed inside the coffin.

The Demon-Suppressing Mausoleum was damaged, and Ye Hongshang sensed the problem (just as she sensed the Great Yang Mace, having left a mark behind), sending the protagonist to handle it (how he got there will be told another day).

The protagonist received the mission, killed the grave robbers, and personally pulled out the Zheng Lun Sword (Chapter 6 of Volume 1 described him pulling it out himself. The sword was on the coffin; it couldn't have been inserted by True Person Qixia herself. If not pulled out, once True Person Qixia woke, she would be too weak to break free on her own. Seeing the situation was not critical, Ye Hongshang let the protagonist take the sword as a personal opportunity).

Pulling it out would trigger the Demon-Suppressing Mausoleum's active defense functions; the Soul-Locking Curse was one of them. The protagonist had been implanted with a memory node beforehand, causing him to forget everything after the encounter.

After the seal developed a gap, Ye Hongshang emerged, her true soul returned to its place, and she sealed her own memories, becoming like an ordinary Miss accompanying the body, then turning into a silly ghost who knew nothing, thinking the body inside the coffin was her own, feeling something was wrong.

The protagonist didn't know why he was digging up the Demon-Suppressing Mausoleum either; the two of them figured they had to find a way to shut the mausoleum down first to prevent the grave from exploding.

Ye Hongshang voluntarily entered a second time and was sealed inside (the Demon-Suppressing Coffin isolates heaven and earth; whoever is inside cannot perceive the outside world, so perception of the outside weakens).

The protagonist fully opened the Demon-Suppressing Coffin, releasing True Person Qixia. Ye Hongshang used True Person Qixia's power to control the demon-transformed True Person Qixia, restoring all memories and remembering that the person in the coffin was her disciple.

She sealed the disciple properly, then turned and left.

That is roughly the flow, or two!
