I’ve been writing from waking up to falling asleep; in past years I pushed myself too hard, and this book was prepared starting last June, with actual writing spanning a full year—I’m full of plotlines, yet can’t concentrate, and prolonged thinking makes me drowsy, like a man who turned thirty and suddenly feels sixty.
