Chapter 1064

Qi Xiaoyan said, "It's like this. Now some leaders in the county think that this steel mill project causes relatively large environmental pollution and will affect the lives of the common people, so they oppose this steel mill settling in our Shangjun County."

Tian Chengzu said, "Is that so? Environmental pollution is indeed a problem, but what is done without sacrifice? Jiang Steel has been run in Jiangcheng for decades, and isn't Jiangcheng doing fine now? I was a furnace worker in a steel mill back then, breathing waste gas and dust every day. Isn't my body still fine now? Comrades, one cannot give up eating for fear of choking!"

Tian Chengzu was indeed a furnace worker in a steel mill back then. He was a northerner. When he was young, he was a worker in a local steel mill. Later, he slowly became a workshop director and factory manager, starting his official career until now, becoming a governor of a province. Therefore, on this issue, he still has the right to speak.

Zhang Kaishan and the others were all silent, not saying a word. It must be said that a governor has already publicly said such words, and the pressure on them is still very great. Such heavy pressure is not something everyone can withstand.

Tian Chengzu said earnestly, "Comrades, I am from a steel mill worker background. I have very deep feelings for the steel industry, and the steel industry is also the lifeblood of a country's industry, and its pulling force on the local economy is even more huge. I am very optimistic about the economic development of Shangjun County in these few years. If a steel city can be built here, Shangjun County will definitely become a star county of the whole province and even the whole country!"

Qi Xiaoyan nodded, "The Governor's instructions are very important. We will definitely work hard to develop the steel industry according to the Governor's instructions."

Qi Xiaoyan's words made everyone look at her sideways. You, a small deputy county magistrate, what are you answering here? Making yourself look like the County Committee Secretary.

However, Tian Xiaopeng was very satisfied with Qi Xiaoyan's performance. In this kind of occasion, there really needs to be such a person to answer Tian Chengzu's words. Zhang Kaishan cannot answer, Tian Xiaopeng himself is not suitable to answer, and others will not take the initiative to answer, then they would offend Zhang Kaishan. Qi Xiaoyan coming out to answer is just right.

Tian Chengzu nodded with satisfaction, "If you have this understanding, then that couldn't be better. By the way, Comrade Kaishan, I haven't heard your opinion. Do you support or oppose this steel mill project?"
