Chapter 1156

Gu Shanmin sighed with emotion, "Xinghui, you are truly young and promising. You haven't even reached the late marriage age yet. Every time I see you, I feel that I am old."

Su Xinghui said, "You don't look old at all. You are in the prime of your life."

Gu Shanmin laughed, "Don't flatter me. Alright, enough small talk. Zhenghong, what matter do you have to see me about today?"

Lu Zhenghong then handed the materials about Hong Kong Global International to Gu Shanmin. Gu Shanmin put on his glasses and began to read carefully.

This document was only a few pages long, and Gu Shanmin finished reading it very quickly. After reading it, he raised his head and said, "Zhenghong, so, this electrolytic aluminum plant project is a scam?"

Lu Zhenghong nodded and said, "Yes, this matter was discovered by Xinghui. After he discovered it, he immediately reported it to Comrade Kaishan, and Comrade Kaishan immediately came to the provincial level with him."

Gu Shanmin looked at Su Xinghui and said, "Xinghui, then how did you discover that this was a scam?"

Su Xinghui said, "I heard from my mother that Global International was fundraising in our county, so I had some suspicions. There have been many illegal fundraising incidents in other provinces, and later facts proved that these illegal fundraisings were all scams, causing those fundraising masses to suffer heavy losses. So I asked two Hong Kong businessmen who invested in our Pengjiawan Township to help me investigate the background of this Global International."

Gu Shanmin said, "Can this matter be verified?"

Su Xinghui nodded and said, "Of course it can be verified. If there is any mistake in this matter, I am willing to bear all responsibility."

Gu Shanmin said, "You don't have to speak so seriously. Judging from their behavior of illegal fundraising, it is already an illegal act. Your vigilance is very strong, which is a good thing. Has your county taken any measures against them?"

Su Xinghui said, "Not yet, because Qu Cheng'an has already left Shangjun County. He took tens of millions in bank drafts, saying he was going to order equipment, and his whereabouts are unknown. So Secretary Zhang believes that we cannot alert the enemy yet, and we must find a way to lure Qu Cheng'an back, bring him to justice, and get the money back, so that we can minimize the losses."

Gu Shanmin pondered for a moment and nodded, "Your idea is correct. We really cannot alert the enemy now. However, do you have any way to lure Qu Cheng'an back?"

Su Xinghui said, "Global International is still applying for loans from several major state-owned commercial banks in the province. I think we can start from this point to lure Qu Cheng'an back."

Gu Shanmin understood Su Xinghui's meaning, and he nodded, "That is indeed a good method."

Su Xinghui added, "Secretary Gu, there is one more situation I need to report to you."

Gu Shanmin said, "Whatever the situation is, just say it."

Su Xinghui said, "Global International applied for loans from several banks in the province. It is said that Governor Tian greeted the banks, and it was Governor Tian's youngest son, Tian Xiaotao, who took the people from Global International to apply for the loans. In addition, Global International fundraised in Shangjun County town, and County Head Tian once went to the scene. It is said that he even personally fundraised 3,000 yuan."

Speaking of this, Zhang Kaishan also said, "Secretary Gu, I also want to make a self-criticism to you. Global International fundraised in our county, and the actions were very large, but I did not raise enough vigilance, letting this matter intensify. I have responsibility."

Gu Shanmin said, "Don't make a self-criticism yet. What we need to do now is to solve the problem."

Gu Shanmin's brow furrowed. He was an exceptionally steady person, and it could be said that he would not change his expression even if Mount Tai collapsed before him. However, the matter Su Xinghui reported to him today made him feel a bit tricky.

This matter involved Tian Chengzhu, so the handling of this matter would not be so simple. It involved many problems, some of which were even uncontrollable.
