Chapter 1412

Xue Xingyuan's words made the villagers at the scene burst into cheers. Under the guidance of the township leaders and village cadres, they also slowly dispersed. In the end, only Yue Yaohua and more than a dozen other young people remained.

Yue Yaohua was not afraid of Xue Xingyuan at all. He looked straight at Xue Xingyuan and said, "You say stop work, will they stop work? How many days will they stop?"

The secretary of the Dashan Township Party Committee, Wang Zhongfa, said to Yue Yaohua, "You cannot be rude in your speech. This is our County Party Committee Secretary. If he says stop work, it will definitely stop work."

However, Yue Yaohua still looked at Xue Xingyuan, his eyes full of suspicion. For the sake of this quarry, they had not reported it before, but every time they reported it, it would stop work for at most a day or two and then start work again, which made him have to be suspicious.

Xue Xingyuan said, "Please rest assured. This time they will stop work for rectification. If they cannot rectify according to the relevant national regulations to meet the requirements, it is impossible to resume work. If it is not done, you are welcome to be guests at our County Party Committee compound!"

Only then did Yue Yaohua say suspiciously, "Then I will believe you once."

Watching Yue Yaohua take those dozen young people away, Wang Zhongfa let out a long sigh of relief. He asked Xue Xingyuan to go to the township government to sit, but Xue Xingyuan looked at him with a straight face, which made the sweat on Wang Zhongfa's back come out.

Xue Xingyuan stared at Wang Zhongfa for a few minutes before saying, "For this matter, you have to give me an explanation. Why do you ignore this kind of illegally mined quarry?"

Wang Zhongfa cried out in his heart, "Can I manage it? This quarry has county leaders behind it." However, he obviously could not say this. He could only lower his head and say nothing.

Xue Xingyuan waited for a while and did not get an answer from Wang Zhongfa. He nodded and said, "Fine, you have nothing to explain to me, right? Fine, then I will go back first. You check it yourself. How many such quarries are there in your township? You stop all of them for me for rectification. If they cannot meet the national standards in safety facilities and environmental protection facilities, they are not allowed to start work. If there are any that start work, I will only ask you, and you don't have to be the secretary anymore!"

After finishing speaking, Xue Xingyuan turned and left, and Ling Anguo and Xie Linsheng also followed and left.

After Xue Xingyuan returned to the county, he was furious. He called the leaders of the relevant departments in the county, scolded them severely, and then asked them to launch a joint inspection of safety and environmental protection. All quarries in the county that did not meet national safety and environmental protection standards were to stop work for rectification, and no favoritism was allowed.
