Chapter 1448

Xue Xingyuan said, "Now the county has more money than before, but there are more and more places to use money. We must be more frugal. Now the county has only built two highways. In the next few years, we must use the strength of the whole county to build the highways from Changshan to other counties. We don't have a few years left before retirement, so we must seize the time to do these major things."

Ling Anguo became excited. After the Matou Town government implemented the new entertainment expense standard, Ling Anguo had always wanted to follow suit and set up a new entertainment expense standard, but this proposal had always been resolutely opposed by several other county leaders.

The reason for their opposition was also very simple: if the new entertainment expense standard was implemented, what benefits would they have to gain? How could they live so comfortably?

Of course, the reasons they opposed it were still high-sounding.

There were many people who opposed it, and Xue Xingyuan had always been noncommittal. Ling Anguo couldn't force it through, so this matter had been shelved.

Now Xue Xingyuan had taken the initiative to propose implementing the new entertainment expense standard. This was Xue Xingyuan's counterattack against those people, and this counterattack was, of course, infinitely beneficial to Changshan County.
