Chapter 1543

The decision of the 1996 Cadre Youth Training Class of the County Party School to expel student Xue Hongping came down very quickly. At the same time, the Changshan County Party Committee also issued a circular criticizing Xue Hongping's behavior, and the tone of the circular was very severe.

These actions shocked the Changshan officialdom, and the students of the youth training class were even more careful, let alone missing class, no one even dared to be late. They now arrive at the classroom at least five minutes early for every class.

Now their classroom discipline is also much better. As long as Professor Tang or Su Xinghui is lecturing, no one dares to talk in private below. They all listen to the lecture attentively and take notes. As a result, the effect of the lecture is much better. During this period, Su Xinghui found that the quality of the reflections and insights written by the students had also improved a lot.

This evening, Su Xinghui and Professor Tang were looking at the reflections and insights written by the students that day. Professor Qin was writing on the desk. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and Su Xinghui went to open it.

As soon as he opened the door, Su Xinghui saw Xue Hongping standing outside. He was carrying some gifts like cigarettes and alcohol, with a fawning smile on his face, his waist slightly bowed, and he shouted: "County Magistrate Su."

Su Xinghui nodded slightly, then turned and entered his living room. Xue Hongping hurriedly followed in and carefully closed the door.

Su Xinghui poured a cup of tea for Xue Hongping. Xue Hongping hurriedly put down the things he was carrying and took the tea Su Xinghui handed over, saying: "Thank you, County Magistrate Su."

Seeing this situation, Professor Tang smiled slightly and went into the room to play chess with Professor Qin.

Su Xinghui let Xue Hongping sit down and then asked: "What advice does Director Xue have for coming today?"

Xue Hongping hurriedly leaned forward and said: "I dare not, I dare not. I came today to apologize to you, County Magistrate Su. That day I drank a few more cups of cat urine, couldn't control my mouth, and said some things I shouldn't have said, offending you, County Magistrate Su. I hope you, County Magistrate Su, are magnanimous and forgive me this time."

Su Xinghui smiled faintly and said: "You also said that you were drunk and said drunken words. How could I take drunken words to heart? I don't remember what you said that day anymore."

Xue Hongping was overjoyed. He didn't expect Su Xinghui to be so easy to talk to. In his view, Su Xinghui should still be giving face to his uncle Xue Xingyuan, right?

Xue Hongping said happily: "County Magistrate Su, don't worry, I will definitely quit drinking in the future and will never drink that cat urine again. I guarantee that I will not be late, leave early, or miss class in the future, and will be a good student."

Su Xinghui said: "Director Xue, you may have misunderstood something. Whether you quit drinking or not, I have no right to ask. Of course, if you quit drinking, it will naturally be good for your own health. However, you said you want to be a good student or something, I don't quite understand. Where you want to be a good student, you don't need to tell me, right?"

Xue Hongping said in astonishment: "County Magistrate Su, didn't you just say you forgave me? Then can't I go back to the Party School training class to attend class?"

Su Xinghui shook his head and said: "I think you may have misunderstood. My forgiving you is one thing; that is just my personal forgiveness for your insolence. But you missed class three times, which has already reached the expulsion standard, so you must be expelled. There is no room for negotiation on this."

Xue Hongping completely lost his arrogance from that day. He said hesitantly: "County Magistrate Su, you are magnanimous and don't hold grudges against small people. I really drank too much and didn't mean to offend you. I also regret it very much now. You really can't expel me!"

Su Xinghui said: "Expelling you is not because you offended me personally, nor is it my personal decision, but a collective decision of the Party School leaders. Therefore, you don't need to talk to me about it here. I'm sorry, I still have to look at the students' reflections and insights and cannot talk to you anymore. Please understand."

Xue Hongping stood up with a dejected face. Today he didn't drink to build up his courage and absolutely didn't dare to make a scene in front of Su Xinghui. He said: "County Magistrate Su, please consider it again. I am really sincerely repentant."

Su Xinghui nodded slightly noncommittally. Xue Hongping could only walk out. Su Xinghui said: "Director Xue, wait a moment, take away the things you brought."

Xue Hongping turned his head and said with a humble smile: "County Magistrate Su, this is just a small gesture of mine. They are all worthless things, just accept them as an expression of my apology."

Su Xinghui glanced at those things and said: "Since when have Moutai and Zhonghua become worthless things? Comrade Xue Hongping, please take these things away; otherwise, I will take them to Secretary Pi's house right now."

Secretary Pi is the Secretary of the Changshan County Commission for Discipline Inspection, Pi Mingxiang, who lives upstairs from Su Xinghui.

Su Xinghui had said it to this point, so Xue Hongping could only pick up those things with a dejected face and leave. After going out, he didn't forget to gently close the door for Su Xinghui.

After Xue Hongping left, Professor Qin and Professor Tang came out of the room together. Professor Tang asked: "Are you really going to expel him?"

Su Xinghui smiled and said: "Of course it's true. Can such things be said falsely?"

Professor Tang smiled and said: "Are you really not considering Secretary Xue's face?"

Su Xinghui said: "If I gave face this time, how would the classroom discipline be maintained in the future? And what is the point of running this training class?"

Professor Tang laughed: "Well said!"

Professor Qin said with gratification: "Xinghui is right to do this. Without rules, there is no order. Since rules have been set, they should be executed. Have you not seen Zhou Yafu's Xiliu Camp back then?"

Su Xinghui nodded and said: "This is my original intention. To build an army with combat effectiveness, strict discipline is needed. And to build a cadre team with combat effectiveness, strict discipline is also needed. This cadre training class is not just to teach them economic knowledge; I also hope to bring the concept of observing discipline to them."

Professor Qin nodded and said: "You said it very well. When you were in school, you were the most disciplined person in the class. I have never seen you late or leave early, let alone miss class. People who are self-disciplined always have a higher chance of success."

Professor Tang smiled: "It seems that the students of the training class should firmly remember this lesson in the future. I guess no one will dare to miss class again."

Su Xinghui said: "That's unless they don't want their future anymore."

The three were talking here. Xue Hongping left Su Xinghui's house and turned to go to Xue Xingyuan's house. After knocking on the door, Xue Xingyuan saw it was him, and his face suddenly turned cold.
