Chapter 1754

Xue Hongping called out "County Magistrate Su" a bit cautiously and sat down on the sofa. Lü Xianghui went to pour a cup of tea for Xue Hongping without being formal and sat opposite Xue Hongping.

Su Xinghui asked, "Comrade Hongping, have you been to Matou Town today? Have you met the comrades there?"

Xue Hongping nodded and said, "Yes, I've been there today, and the comrades there are very enthusiastic."

Su Xinghui said, "You have to get along well with them. You will have to rely on them to support your work in the future."

Xue Hongping said, "County Magistrate Su, I will."

While talking, Li Shuqin had already started to serve dishes on the dining table. Seeing this, Xue Hongping was about to get up and say goodbye. Su Xinghui said, "Why are you leaving? Let's eat together. It's just right that Comrade Xianghui is also here. You two have a couple of drinks."

Xue Hongping said, "County Magistrate Su, I've already eaten."

Su Xinghui said without room for negotiation, "Sit down. It's meal time now. Where did you eat? Xianghui, pour wine for Hongping."

Lü Xianghui agreed and prepared to pour wine. Xue Hongping hurriedly said, "County Magistrate Su, I've quit drinking!"

Su Xinghui said, "Have you really quit drinking?"

Xue Hongping said, "Since that time I drank a few more cups of cat urine and offended County Magistrate Su, I made up my mind never to drink again. I can't control myself. As soon as I drink too much, I start talking nonsense. This affects my work too much, so I won't drink no matter what. Please forgive me, County Magistrate Su!"

Su Xinghui smiled, "Where can't you control yourself? Aren't you controlling yourself very well? You can even quit drinking, so what else can you not do? Okay, since you've quit drinking, I won't force you. You drink drinks, and I'll drink with Xianghui!"

Xue Hongping sat down a bit cautiously again. Lü Xianghui took a bottle of drink for him, then he poured wine for Su Xinghui and himself, and Lu Xiaoya and Li Shuqin started to eat.

Su Xinghui picked up a glass of wine and said, "Come, Hongping, Xianghui, I'll have a drink with you. I hope you will make greater achievements in your new work positions!"

The two hurriedly raised the wine and drinks in their hands and had this drink with Su Xinghui.

Su Xinghui said, "Eat, eat. Auntie Li's cooking in my house is quite good."

Li Shuqin said embarrassedly, "County Magistrate Su, these are all home-cooked dishes that can't be served on the table."

Su Xinghui said, "It's good that they are home-cooked dishes. I like home-cooked dishes."

Xue Hongping nodded and echoed, "Yes, yes, yes, home-cooked dishes are delicious."

Su Xinghui said, "Then don't be so cautious, eat more."

Xue Hongping then stretched out his chopsticks and ate two bites of food. Eating at Su Xinghui's house for the first time, how could he not be cautious?

After drinking a few glasses of wine, Li Shuqin finished eating and left the table first, followed by Lu Xiaoya. She smiled at Lü Xianghui and Xue Hongping and said, "You eat slowly, I'll go in first."

Lu Xiaoya was already more than three months pregnant and was showing a little, so she couldn't sit for a long time and had to lie down from time to time. The two hurriedly said, "Okay."

After Lu Xiaoya went in, Xue Hongping was not so cautious anymore. He also started to toast Su Xinghui and Lü Xianghui.

Xue Hongping said, "County Magistrate Su, I toast you. Thank you this time!"

Su Xinghui said, "I'll drink with you, but you don't need to thank me. This mayor position was also earned by your own performance. You can quit drinking and have such perseverance, and I have also read those insights of yours, which are quite good. It shows that you have really read the teaching plans I gave you. I believe that with such insights, you will be able to be a good mayor in the future."

Xue Hongping said sternly, "County Magistrate Su, don't worry, I will definitely not let you down!"

The two drank this glass of wine, and Xue Hongping said again, "County Magistrate Su, I still feel insecure in my heart. I have little experience working in townships, and I don't know how to carry out some work."

Su Xinghui smiled, "It's okay, Secretary Ma will support your work. If you have any questions in the future, you can also ask me, and there is also Mayor Lü. You are neighbors, so get closer in the future."

Xue Hongping then held his wine glass and said to Lü Xianghui, "Mayor Lü, please give me more advice in the future!"

The two drank this glass, and the atmosphere at the wine table reached a climax.
