Chapter 2129

On this day, the news that the provincial authorities had ordered Chongjin County to cease the search for Pang Xingjie once again swept through the political circles of Jiangyou Province like a hurricane. This news seemed somewhat inexplicable, yet this only made people's imaginations run wild, providing them with room for speculation.

Since the search for Pang Xingjie had been stopped, it proved that his whereabouts were known, but the provincial authorities had not made an official announcement. So, where had Pang Xingjie gone? Surely he hadn't been picked up by friends to go drinking, had he? Or had aliens abducted him?

In the nineties, aliens were still a very hot topic. At that time, there were many legends about UFOs, and many people believed that aliens were cruising above the Earth in flying saucers.

The hottest topic of conversation that day was Pang Xingjie's whereabouts, and everyone was speculating about where on earth he had gone.

If this were more than a decade later, perhaps one could organize a variety show based on this event, titled "Where Has Xingjie Gone?"

There was still no news about Pang Xingjie's whereabouts when the Provincial Party Committee immediately issued another directive, which was to recall both investigation teams to the province. Although they still said nothing, this basically indicated that the investigation into Su Xinghui had been halted.
