Chapter 2150: Sudden Good News

One day in early May, Mi Xiuyuan suddenly found Su Xinghui. Su Xinghui saw his excited look and asked, "Xiuyuan, is there any good news? Why are you so happy?"

Mi Xiuyuan said, "Suharto is about to announce his resignation from the presidency!"

Upon hearing this news, Su Xinghui was overjoyed and asked excitedly, "Are you telling the truth?"

Mi Xiuyuan smiled and nodded, "Of course it's true!"

Su Xinghui asked, "I asked you a few days ago if it was possible for him to step down, and you said it was difficult. Why is he suddenly going to announce his resignation?"

This news was indeed too sudden. In history, it was the anti-Chinese riots that occurred in mid-May that led to Suharto's resignation. But now the anti-Chinese riots had not yet started, so why did Suharto suddenly resign?

With Suharto's character, it was absolutely impossible for him to admit defeat easily.

Mi Xiuyuan smiled and told the inside story. It turned out that yesterday, one of Suharto's confidants in the military suddenly defected. He took his whole family and fled abroad, flew to a South American country, and held a press conference today to announce an order that Suharto had given him. ===== CHAPTER 2152 =====
