Chapter 2241

Feng Lan said, "That's easy to explain. He Zongxin was originally a farmer who just loved singing opera and writing, which is why the troupe took a liking to him and recruited him. He still has deep feelings for the troupe; otherwise, wouldn't he have just resigned? The fact that he has remained on unpaid leave and pays management fees every year just to maintain his status in the troupe shows that he still can't bear to leave it."

Feng Lan's analysis was very reasonable, and Su Xinghui nodded.

Feng Lan added, "There is also an old actor in the troupe, Hu Baguai, who is over seventy. He is He Zongxin's master and started out playing clown roles. He Zongxin respects him very much, so as long as Master Hu speaks up, He Zongxin will have no choice but to return."

"Hu Baguai?" Su Xinghui said, "That's a rather strange name."

Feng Lan said, "This Master Hu started singing opera before the Liberation. He can sing any kind of opera and specializes in clown roles. His stage name is Hu Baguai, and as a result, he has used this name ever since; his real name is no longer used. Now, no one knows what his real name is; they just call him Hu Baguai. County Magistrate, if you go to the street and ask around, you will know how famous Hu Baguai is."

Su Xinghui nodded. In fact, he had heard of such old actors when he was in Shangjun County. The Shangjun County troupe also had such old actors; the whole county knew their stage names, but no one knew their real names. ===== CHAPTER 2243 =====
