Chapter 2243

Su Xinghui nodded and said, "This reason is indeed very simple, but it is certainly reasonable. As long as the play is good, there will naturally be an audience, but very few people can actually achieve this principle. If you can achieve this, if you aren't a talent, then who is?"

He Zongxin said, "To make a play good, you have to innovate and keep up with the pulse of the times. You must not only make the older audience like watching it, but also make the younger audience like watching it. This is the only way."

Su Xinghui said, "That is well said. However, Comrade He Zongxin, your performance troupe in Hongzhou is so successful, the income must not be low, right? If the county lets you come back to be the head of this troupe, are you willing?"

He Zongxin nodded without hesitation and said, "County Magistrate Su, I am willing!"

Su Xinghui said, "No lies?"

He Zongxin shook his head and said, "Of course I am not lying. If I really wanted to leave the troupe, I wouldn't have stayed on unpaid leave. I have feelings for the troupe. I joined the troupe when I was in my teens and stayed for twenty years. You could say I lived half my life in the troupe; how could I bear to leave it?"

Su Xinghui said, "Then what about your performance troupe in Hongzhou?"

He Zongxin said, "I have already told the people in the performance troupe that those who are willing to come back with me can come back, and those who are not willing can continue to stay in the Hongzhou performance troupe. I have let one of my former deputy heads continue to manage this performance troupe."

Su Xinghui nodded and said, "That's good. People have their own aspirations. Even if they don't want to come back, we must give them a path to follow, but if they are willing to come back, we welcome them!"

He Zongxin said, "County Magistrate Su, there are about a dozen actors willing to come back with me this time. Although the number is not large, they are all actors who have followed me for several years, and their skills are quite good now. They can fully serve as the backbone actors of our troupe. If we recruit some new actors, we can support the stage."

Su Xinghui was very happy: "That's great! I didn't expect so many people to be willing to come back!"

He Zongxin said, "County Magistrate Su, actually, many actors still have feelings for the troupe. The reason they are coming back this time, besides Senior Sister Feng and my master calling me, is even more because there is a County Magistrate like you, which makes them feel that Chongjin County now has hope."

Su Xinghui smiled and said, "What does this have to do with me? Don't flatter me."

He Zongxin said seriously, "County Magistrate Su, this is not flattery. You don't know, but every time I called my parents in the countryside this year, they said that a new County Magistrate had come to Chongjin County and built it up very well. You also exempted them from agricultural taxes and levies, and did many good deeds. In short, there is no end to what they say!"

Su Xinghui smiled slightly: "This is what I should do as a County Magistrate. So, in the future, as the head of the troupe, you also do what you should do. As long as each of us does what we should do, the future of Chongjin County will definitely get better and better."

He Zongxin nodded excitedly.

Su Xinghui said, "Since County Magistrate Feng strongly recommends you and says you are a talent, then I will trust you without suspicion. You are the head of our county troupe. I hope you can stage new plays as soon as possible and revitalize the county troupe as soon as possible."

He Zongxin said, "County Magistrate Su, don't worry, I will definitely stage new plays as soon as possible. I hope you can come to the scene to watch our new plays then."

Su Xinghui nodded and said, "That's no problem. As long as you stage new plays, I will definitely come to the scene to watch them and be your first batch of audience!"

He Zongxin said happily, "Good, on behalf of the county troupe, I welcome the County Magistrate to watch our new plays!" ===== CHAPTER 2245 =====
