Chapter 2331

These corrupt elements had been handed over to the judicial organs, and they would receive severe punishment by law. Of course, if their attitude of pleading guilty was good and they returned the stolen money in time, they could still be sentenced leniently.

Yuan Yilu voluntarily surrendered to the Discipline Inspection Commission and voluntarily confessed some economic and work-style problems during his years as village branch secretary, and actively returned the stolen money, returning all the illicit money. As for those that had already been squandered by him, Yuan Yifu helped him take them out.

In fact, the total amount he embezzled was not large, just around twenty thousand yuan. In that era, Chongjin County was not a rich county, and their Yuanjiahan Village could be considered a relatively poor village in the whole county. The annual financial allocation was limited, and he had nowhere to embezzle even if he wanted to embezzle more.

This disaster relief fund could be considered the largest sum allocated in these years. As a result, he embezzled over ten thousand this time. So, one must absolutely not give such people a chance.

His embezzlement amount was not particularly huge, but because it was embezzling disaster relief funds, it met other relatively serious circumstances. According to the law, he should be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years. However, due to his lenient circumstances such as surrender and active return of stolen money, it is expected that he will be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of about one year.

This result could be considered relatively good for him.

And besides him, those nephews of his, because they repeatedly provoked trouble, committed violence, and beat people in the village, were also cracked down on by the public security organs and were successively punished with detention and other penalties. Yuan Yilu's perverse actions in Yuanjiahan Village were also corrected.

Since then, the Yuan family, which had run rampant in Yuanjiahan Village for several years, had vanished into thin air and could never act recklessly in the village again.

This news made Yuanjiahan Village full of joy. Many families even bought firecrackers and set them off in the village. Originally, the year had passed, but Yuanjiahan Village these days was still like the New Year, even happier than the New Year. The village bully was eliminated. Wasn't this the most worthy festival to celebrate?
