Chapter 2490

Old Yu's words were like a bullet hitting Qi Xuezhen, making him tremble all over, and then he stayed there, not moving for a long time.

After a long time, Qi Xuezhen asked, "How big is his problem?"

Su Xinghui said, "The situation currently mastered is like this. He has one percent of the shares in the Guangda Trading Company. He has owned these shares for more than three years, receiving dividends on time every year, and every year it is several million."

Qi Xuezhen's lips were trembling. More than three years, several million every year, this is at least more than ten million! This is such a terrible number! Qi Xuezhen has never seen so much money in his life!

Qi Xuezhen certainly knew how serious this problem was. This is a crime punishable by death!

Qi Xuezhen's pain was seen by Old Yu, Yu Ruizhi, and Su Xinghui. They were all heartbroken, but they didn't know how to comfort Qi Xuezhen.

Qi Xuezhen only had this one son. He naturally had high hopes for this son, but now, his hope was basically shattered.

Qi Xuezhen suddenly raised his glass, tilted his neck, and drank that glass of wine in one gulp. He put the glass on the table and said to Su Xinghui, "Xinghui, ask you for one thing."

Su Xinghui said, "You say it."

Qi Xuezhen said, "If you go back tomorrow, just catch this wicked son for me!"

Speaking of this, Qi Xuezhen's lips were already trembling and couldn't close. It could be seen that his heart was probably already broken into pieces. This was his only son, yet he personally asked Su Xinghui to catch him.

Su Xinghui really wanted to say that he didn't have the power to catch people, but he really couldn't refuse the old man's request. He nodded and said, "Okay, Uncle Qi, I will handle this matter when I go back tomorrow."

Old Yu picked up the wine bottle and wanted to pour wine for Qi Xuezhen. Qi Xuezhen was shocked and said, "Old Chief, how can I let you pour wine for me?"

But Old Yu insisted on pouring wine for Qi Xuezhen. Qi Xuezhen had no choice but to watch Old Yu pour him a glass of wine, and then raised his glass and said, "Xuezhen, I admire you!"

This sentence made Qi Xuezhen's eye sockets moisten immediately. He raised his glass, bumped it with Old Yu, tilted his neck, and drank this glass of wine again.

Qi Xuezhen said, "Old Chief, I have nothing to admire. I didn't educate my son well. However, my son violated the national law, and I must send him to prison!"

Qi Xuezhen's words made everyone move. This is the party spirit and backbone of the older generation of Communists!

The next day, Su Xinghui returned to Yanzhong City. Su Xinghui didn't tell the leaders of the Yanfang Group what he went back to do this time. However, Deng Fuping and the others always had some bad premonitions these days. They felt that Su Xinghui returning to Yanzhong City this time must have something unfavorable to them happening.

Before they could find Lu Guojun, their premonition had already come true.

This afternoon, the competent department of the Yanfang Group, the National Textile Industry Bureau, sent discipline inspection personnel to the Yanfang Group to take "Shuanggui" (a disciplinary measure) measures against many company leaders and middle-level cadres, including General Manager Deng Fuping, Party Secretary Xiong Wanhua, and Chief Accountant Wen Liying. The location of the "Shuanggui" was in the guest house of the Yanfang Group.

If it were normal times, the guest house of the Yanfang Group would certainly not be safe. But now, it couldn't be safer here, because the people in the company's security department had all been replaced by people who could be trusted.

When these discipline inspection personnel announced the "Shuanggui" to these leaders and middle-level cadres, their eyes were dazed, and their legs were shaking like a sieve. Xiong Wanhua even collapsed on the ground on the spot, unable to stand up. It was a few people who carried him to the guest house.

These people being put under "Shuanggui" made the workers of the Yanfang Group happy. Many workers were moved to tears. On this day, firecrackers rang for a whole day in the entire dormitory area of the Yanfang Group.

When Yin Deshan heard this news, his tears burst out and he said, "The sky is bright!"

And Gu Zhilin heard this news, his long-term cough was cured without medicine. He felt like he was suddenly more than ten years younger.

Su Xinghui stood in his office, looking at the workers in the factory area cheering, listening to the firecrackers that had not stopped in the dormitory area, his heart was surging. This is what this country should look like! All dregs should be swept into the garbage heap of history.

Besides the discipline inspection personnel of the Textile Industry Bureau, the working group of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection also rushed to Yanzhong City. Flying to Yanzhong City on the same plane with them was also the Provincial Party Secretary of Yanbei Province, Gan Yuru.

Gan Yuru was summoned to the capital by a phone call from Premier Nan yesterday. Several central leaders talked to him one after another. Today he flew back to Yanzhong City with the people from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. As soon as he returned, he convened a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to deploy the case of the Guangda Trading Company.

Right at the Standing Committee meeting, the people from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection entered the venue and took "Shuanggui" measures against several members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, including Lu Keren. This move stunned all the standing committee members.

This Standing Committee meeting lasted for a whole night. Gan Yuru didn't let all the standing committee members of the Provincial Party Committee go home that night, and they stayed in the conference room for a whole night. And that night, a huge storm blew up in Yanbei Province.

For many people in Yanbei Province, this night was a sleepless one; however, for the ordinary citizens of Yanbei Province, they had no idea at all what had actually happened this night.

Of course, the next morning, it spread in the officialdom of Yanbei Province how many people were arrested last night. And among these arrested people, including Executive Vice Governor Lu Keren, he was also the one with the highest level and status among those arrested this time.

And among the others, there were three vice-provincial level cadres, twelve department-level and deputy department-level cadres, and countless cadres below the department level. Among these department-level cadres, Qi Canghai's name was also among them, looking not conspicuous at all.

Besides the Discipline Inspection Commission, the public security department and the armed police also moved out. Lu Guojun and the legal representative of the Guangda Trading Company, Niu Xiaoli, and others were arrested. These people were all prominent figures in Yanzhong City, but they all became prisoners in this one night.

All this happened in two days and one night, simply with the speed of a thunderbolt, so that these people didn't have time to do anything before they were caught. Many people were confused when they were caught.

This was of course because Accountant Ren photocopied those pieces of evidence and handed the evidence to Accountant Xu and the others very secretly. The other side thought that burning all those pieces of evidence would be fine, which made them have no psychological preparation at all, and they were very relaxed psychologically, never expecting that the situation would have such a big reversal in such a short time.

This storm was very fierce, but it was still far from the time to subside. With the deep digging of the discipline inspection department and the public security department, more corrupt elements and social criminals would be caught. And the arrest of these people would make the sky of Yanzhong City much clearer.

Although the weather is getting colder and colder now, the things that happened last night made the hearts of the people in the entire Yanzhong City and even Yanbei Province feel warm.

The firecrackers of the Yanfang Group finally subsided, but firecrackers rang again in every corner of Yanzhong City. The firecrackers rang one after another, which made Yanzhong City full of a festive atmosphere like the New Year.

This storm made Su Xinghui feel a little surprised. What surprised him was that Premier Nan actually made such a big determination this time, putting four vice-provincial level cadres under "Shuanggui" at one time. And the backgrounds of these four vice-provincial level cadres were also very unusual. How much pressure he had to bear this time! ===== CHAPTER 2492 =====
