Chapter 2514

The entire room gasped. The auctioneer was excited: "Good, Mr. Fang bids 150,000 Hong Kong dollars. Is there anyone else who wants to bid?"

Fang Bingye's bid seemed to ignite everyone's passion. Many wealthy individuals present were constantly raising the bid, each time by 50,000 Hong Kong dollars. Before long, the price of the painting soared to 650,000 Hong Kong dollars.

This grand spectacle shocked the eyes of all the guests present. Who exactly was this Su Xinghui? So many top wealthy individuals were bidding for his painting, and the price had reached such a high level.

In fact, Su Xinghui knew that based on his reputation, his painting would not have reached such a high price; this was all because these wealthy individuals were giving him face.

They had tried to send gifts to Su Xinghui, but he wouldn't accept them, so they could only repay Su Xinghui in this way. Although today was a charity auction and the money wouldn't go into Su Xinghui's hands, it could help build Su Xinghui's reputation.

For these wealthy individuals, even spending a few million or ten million didn't matter. However, the way they were slowly bidding today was more eye-catching than bidding over a million Hong Kong dollars all at once, because the scene of so many wealthy people competing to bid was truly rare.

The entire room was in an uproar. Everyone stood up, wanting to see who this Su Xinghui was. Through various channels, they learned of Su Xinghui's identity and looked at him sitting in the front row. Su Xinghui, however, was very calm and didn't even turn his head.

At this moment, Yu Ruizhi raised his paddle again and said, "800,000 Hong Kong dollars."

Su Xinghui whispered, "Brother Yu, why bother? If you want a painting, I'll paint another one for you."

Yu Ruizhi also whispered, "That's different. I must buy this painting today. It's for charity anyway, so consider it a donation, to avoid being called a country bumpkin again. Besides, I really do like this painting of yours."

Su Xinghui gave a soft laugh. Although there was a joking element in Yu Ruizhi's words, he could hear Yu Ruizhi's seriousness. Yes, being called a country bumpkin by Hong Kong stars—how could Yu Ruizhi swallow this? He wanted to show the strength of the mainland in this way.

This might be a bit of a dispute of spirit, but it was also in line with Yu Ruizhi's personality.

Although the price had already reached 800,000, there were still many wealthy individuals raising the bid. Before long, the price exceeded one million Hong Kong dollars.

Such a high price shocked all the guests present. From time to time, they would let out gasps of amazement along with the sound of the bids.

Mi Mingquan, who had not spoken to bid, also spoke up: "1.5 million Hong Kong dollars!"

This high price left the guests unable to gasp anymore. Although they could all afford this price, who would really pay such a price? ===== CHAPTER 2516 =====
