Chapter 2727

Su Xinghui said with a smile, "Mayor Wei, Secretary Gu, you are too polite, actually it's not necessary."

Gu Aimin shook his head and said, "How can you say that? We are all comrades. Your family came to Baozhou, so they are guests of our Baozhou. Of course, we must treat them well. Mayor Wei, don't you think so?"

Wei Ziming nodded and said, "Secretary Gu is right."

Before long, the dishes were served one after another. Wei Ziming first raised a glass to toast everyone. Everyone raised the glasses in front of them, some drinking alcohol, some drinking beverages, and drank this glass with Wei Ziming.

The second glass was Gu Aimin's turn to toast. He raised his glass and said, "Physician Su, Accountant Guo, Section Chief Lu, I heard that you encountered an unpleasant thing on the road just now?"

Su Wenjun said lightly, "Just now when Xiaoya was driving, she encountered a scammer."

Gu Aimin said, "Just now I also heard the comrades below report to me, saying that they were momentarily negligent and failed to see that the group of people were scammers. They feel very sorry to you. Such a thing happened, and I, as the Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, have a responsibility. I toast you a glass, consider it to calm your shock!"

After Gu Aimin said this, he raised his glass and drank it in one gulp, very generously.

Lu Xiaoya didn't raise her glass. She said, "Secretary Gu, you might also have been deceived by the people below. I think they weren't momentarily negligent, but colluded with that group of scammers."

Gu Aimin's face changed immediately. He smiled unnaturally and said, "Section Chief Lu, you might have some misunderstanding, right? They shouldn't have such great courage; they shouldn't collude with those scammers."

Lu Xiaoya said, "No such great courage? Just now when they arrived at the scene, they didn't even conduct an investigation and just relied on the one-sided words of those scammers to make me pay money. They made me pay five thousand at once. Fortunately, my husband is Su Xinghui. If it were someone else, would this money have to be paid?"

Gu Aimin said, "Is what you said true?"

Lu Xiaoya said, "Of course it's true. There were many onlookers nearby; they all saw it. I can call them to testify at any time."

Wei Ziming coughed and said, "Secretary Gu, if what Section Chief Lu said is true, then the problem is very serious. We cannot let such black sheep ruin the reputation of our Baozhou Municipal Public Security System!"

Gu Aimin understood Wei Ziming's meaning. He was also a very decisive person. He immediately said seriously, "Since there is such a thing, we will definitely not tolerate it. I will call the bureau now and ask them to strictly investigate this matter. We will definitely give you an explanation!"

Gu Aimin originally wanted to protect that police officer surnamed Bai. After all, his usual filial piety was not small, and he had just called him, begging Secretary Gu to save him, saying he would never forget Secretary Gu.

Gu Aimin felt that this was just a small matter. He would talk to Su Xinghui and give them a few high hats, and Su Xinghui should let them go. You must know that Gu Aimin was a member of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and Director of the Public Security Bureau. He could be considered one of the top power figures in Baozhou City.

And Su Xinghui was just a Deputy Mayor who hadn't even entered the Standing Committee. His ranking among deputy-level cadres should be in the last few. Could he not give himself this bit of face?

But who knew, Su Xinghui really didn't give face. Although he didn't speak personally, Lu Xiaoya's opening was the same as his opening. This was preparing to put that Officer Bai to death.

Of course, it was normal for Lu Xiaoya to have resentment. That group of people was too blind to scam her. Since she wanted to pursue it to the end, Gu Aimin naturally didn't need to protect Officer Bai anymore.

This was also Wei Ziming reminding him. Yes, Su Xinghui's background was too strong, and their public security system was not reasonable in this matter. If they fought, he, Gu Aimin, would be in the wrong. Since this was the case, why should he fight to the death with Su Xinghui for an insignificant Officer Bai?

Gu Aimin took out his mobile phone and dialed a number. After the other party connected, he said seriously, "Old Deng, there is such a matter..."

After Gu Aimin finished introducing the situation, he said, "Old Deng, you go to the bureau immediately and conduct a strict investigation on Bai Chengshan's group to see how deeply they are involved in this matter and how big the problem is. No matter how big the problem is, investigate it to the end and return a bright sky to the people of Baozhou City!"

Old Deng agreed on the phone. Gu Aimin said, "No matter what the investigation results are, call and notify me immediately!"

After speaking, Gu Aimin hung up the phone and smiled at Lu Xiaoya, "Section Chief Lu, you should be satisfied now, right?"

Lu Xiaoya nodded and said, "Secretary Gu, this is not a question of whether I am satisfied or not. Such things greatly affect the image of Baozhou City and are also a damage to the investment environment of Baozhou City. Therefore, I hope Secretary Gu can truly do as you said, not tolerate evil, and strictly investigate the Baozhou Municipal Public Security Bureau!"

Gu Aimin's face was very unnatural. Lu Xiaoya was at least twenty years younger than him, but she was talking so eloquently, pointing at his nose and teaching him. This made Gu Aimin very unhappy. However, what people said was reasonable, and Gu Aimin couldn't refute it.

Su Xinghui also said, "Yes, Secretary Gu, I have heard that such scamming incidents happen frequently. If this kind of thing cannot be cured, then who would dare to come to Baozhou? Who would dare to invest in Baozhou? This is indeed a very big damage to Baozhou's investment environment!"
