Chapter 2765

Cai Jianguo said, "Mayor Su, if this road is repaired, it is indeed very meaningful. But the city really can't come up with so much money now, and I am also unable to help. It is almost the end of the year, and this year's road repair funds have been used up."

When Cai Jianguo said this, Su Xinghui's expression relaxed. He said, "Mayor Cai, as long as you say this road should be repaired, I will think of a way for the funds. The city doesn't need to come up with too much. What do you think?"

Cai Jianguo was stunned for a moment. He didn't want to help Su Xinghui repair the road, but he had no good reason, so he could only use the funding problem to refuse. But now Su Xinghui directly said that the funding problem would be solved by him. How could he refuse this?

Speaking of which, if Su Xinghui helped solve the funding problem, this matter was actually beneficial to Cai Jianguo. After all, transportation was also the work Cai Jianguo was in charge of. If there were achievements in transportation, it was also Cai Jianguo's.

However, why did Cai Jianguo feel so uncomfortable in his heart? After repairing this road, it eventually helped Su Xinghui a lot.

But Cai Jianguo really had no excuse to refuse Su Xinghui. He asked, "Mayor Su, do you really have the confidence to raise such a large sum of funds?"

Su Xinghui smiled and said, "Mayor Cai, please rest assured about this. I still have some confidence in this."

Cai Jianguo then nodded and said, "That's good, then you let Yinshan County report it. But I'll say it first, the city can only come up with one-tenth of the funds at most, and the rest must be self-raised."

The budget for this road was at least tens of millions or even hundreds of millions. Baozhou City coming up with one-tenth of the funds was already millions or even tens of millions. Su Xinghui was already relatively satisfied with this result. To raise funds, Su Xinghui still had a few scattered hands. He had many channels to raise this money.

Su Xinghui said, "Okay, then I will thank Mayor Cai on behalf of the people of Yinshan County. Building this road is great news for Yinshan County!"

Since Su Xinghui was so polite, and Cai Jianguo also agreed to the matter of repairing the road, he simply did the whole play. He also smiled and said, "Sigh, speaking of which, I am also from a peasant background. My home is also in the mountainous area, and I understand the hardships of the people in the mountainous area. If the city's finance wasn't tight, I would also want to repair all these roads."

Su Xinghui said, "It's very good that Mayor Cai has such thoughts. I hope we will work together in the future to develop the economy of Baozhou City and make the infrastructure of Baozhou City better and better. By that time, the people will definitely miss Mayor Cai's name."

Cai Jianguo nodded with a smile. If there was really such a day, he would also be willing to see it. Fame and profit, fame and profit. When being an official, besides benefits, one also needed a reputation. He didn't want to be an official for a term and do nothing, only to be poked in the spine by others. Therefore, Su Xinghui's words could be considered to have scratched his itch.
