Chapter 2833

The food and drinks were served quickly, and the waiter poured wine for everyone. Su Xinghui raised his glass and said, "Minister Zhao, today I am borrowing flowers to offer to the Buddha. First, I would like to propose a toast to you. Thank you for giving me face and even giving up the opportunity to dine with Secretary Lu."

Zhao Yichen raised his glass and laughed, "Actually, Brother Xinghui, I have far more opportunities to dine with Secretary Lu than I do with you, which is why I came here to have dinner with you today."

As the Deputy Minister of the Organization Department, Zhao Yichen naturally had plenty of opportunities to dine with Lu Yumin, who oversaw the department. In fact, Lu Yumin had spoken up for him to help him secure his position as Deputy Minister, and Lu Yumin also greatly appreciated his work capability.

After Zhao Yichen drank this glass with Su Xinghui, Su Xinghui said, "Regardless, I must thank Minister Zhao for giving me face!"

Zhao Yichen nodded with a smile, and Gao Zhiyong said, "Minister Zhao, please eat, don't be a stranger!"

Zhao Yichen picked up his chopsticks, took a bite of food, nodded, and said, "The food here really does taste quite good!"

Gao Zhiyong said, "If it tastes good, then eat more."

Zhao Yichen nodded again and said to Su Xinghui, "Brother Xinghui, are you heading back this afternoon?"
