Chapter 2873

Su Xinghui brought them to the canteen. The canteen staff had been waiting behind the window for a long time. Seeing Su Xinghui bringing people, they put the food into metal plates and handed them to those community-run teachers.

Su Xinghui waited until all the community-run teachers received their meals before he received a meal. Luo Guoxiu, Xia Song, and Zhai Yingjie also got a meal. Zhai Yingjie also asked for an extra meal, which he wanted to send to Yin Zhe in the duty room. The duty room could not be left without anyone, as the provincial government might call to check the post at any time.

Today, Su Xinghui specifically gave instructions to let the canteen staff make the food better, so the quality of the food today was quite good, with fish, meat, and eggs, and even each person had a few slices of spiced beef. After all, it was during the Spring Festival, and the canteen's material reserves were very rich.

Even when these community-run teachers had their New Year's Eve dinner, they hadn't had such good food. Today, eating such good food here made them very excited. However, they still suppressed their excitement and tried to eat as gently as possible.

Su Xinghui sat opposite Guo Houde and said to him, "Teacher Guo, you can go to get more after you finish eating. Don't rush, eat slowly. After eating, I will send a car to send you back."

Guo Houde didn't know what to say. He could only nod hard, "I know, thank you, Mayor Su!"

After eating, everyone drank a bowl of hot seaweed and egg soup. In such weather, drinking such a bowl of soup was simply a great enjoyment.

After drinking the soup, Su Xinghui accompanied them to sit for a while. At this time, two large buses transferred by Xia Song from the City Bus Company were already waiting at the canteen entrance. Each large bus of the bus company could seat more than forty people, and two large buses were enough to send these community-run teachers.

Su Xinghui sent them onto the bus. When they got on the bus, Su Xinghui shook hands with them one by one. After they all got on the bus, Su Xinghui waved at them for a long time until the large bus drove out of the municipal government compound, and his hand still hadn't been put down.

After the car drove out of sight, Luo Guoxiu said, "Mayor Su, this is a hot potato. Taking this matter on is a big trouble."

Su Xinghui said with a straight face, "Old Luo, I haven't asked you yet. You know all about this, right? Why didn't you tell me?"

Luo Guoxiu said, "Mayor Su, I didn't tell you for your own good. This matter wasn't decided by you, and it has nothing to do with you. Why do you have to take it on yourself? Mayor Su, if you want to criticize me, just criticize me, but let's go into the duty room. It's too cold outside."

The north wind was very strong today, and it was indeed very cold. Su Xinghui stood outside, and Xia Song and Zhai Yingjie also accompanied him to stand outside. Su Xinghui looked at Xia Song and Zhai Yingjie and then entered the duty room with a straight face.

Luo Guoxiu followed into the duty room and said, "Mayor Su, in fact, you can just play dumb about this matter and say it's not your business, right? A new official doesn't deal with old matters. No one will say anything about you. Even if the province knows about this, they have nothing to say."

The matter of cutting community-run teachers with one knife was actually tacitly understood by everyone. The province also knew about this, and they were also playing dumb. Otherwise, what could they do? There were at least 100,000 community-run teachers and substitute teachers in the whole province. Convert them all to public-run teachers? Then the province's finance couldn't stand it either!

Su Xinghui said in a deep voice, "Comrade Luo Guoxiu, after seeing the situation of these community-run teachers today, can you bear it in your heart? Can you just ignore them?"
