Chapter 3002

Su Xinghui's persuasion was not mysterious. Although these presidents were all "better to be the head of a chicken than the tail of an ox," the prospects Su Xinghui painted for them were tempting enough.

If Baozhou College was upgraded to Baozhou University, it would be an undergraduate university. The disciplines of these schools could also recruit better students, and they would also get more scientific research funds in the future, and the school's infrastructure would also be upgraded.

Su Xinghui also promised them that after they merged with Baozhou College to establish the new Baozhou University, they would serve as vice presidents of the new Baozhou University, their rank would remain unchanged, and they would still be in charge of the original schools, that is, the three branch campuses of the new Baozhou University. This was actually them still being in charge of one side.

In addition to these conditions, Su Xinghui's prestige in Baozhou City now also played a great role. Because Su Xinghui had made outstanding achievements in Baozhou City in the past few months, and he had made great achievements in the education line, especially he solved the problems of those civilian-run teachers, making these presidents respect him very much.

After all, they were also people who had been engaged in educational work for a lifetime. They were very sympathetic to the plight of those civilian-run teachers, but their ability was limited and they were powerless. However, Su Xinghui's behavior made them respect Su Xinghui very much.

Therefore, when Su Xinghui persuaded them with good words and promised them so many benefits, they had no reason to refuse anymore.

Saturday soon arrived. This morning, Zhu Jimin came to the municipal government compound to pick up Su Xinghui. When he called Su Xinghui and said his car had arrived, Su Xinghui said, "President Zhu, don't be so polite. You are so busy today, and you still came to pick me up."

Zhu Jimin said, "This is what I should do. Mayor Su, you have helped us a lot."

After Su Xinghui went downstairs, he got into Zhu Jimin's car and drove to Baozhou College.

Baozhou College is located in an area slightly south of the city center of Baozhou City. It has a history of more than 60 years and was established before liberation. Its previous name was Baozhou City Higher Vocational School, and it was later renamed Baozhou College. It seems that it will be renamed Baozhou University soon.

Baozhou Medical College and Baozhou Finance School are also in this area, not too far from Baozhou College, and it takes about ten minutes to walk. Their history is shorter, and they were all built after liberation. At that time, the area near Baozhou College was not the city center, but a wasteland, so the schools built later were all built in this area.

Baozhou City Radio and Television University is slightly further away because its history is the shortest. When it was built, there was not much empty space near Baozhou College, so it was built in the western suburbs of Baozhou City at that time. Of course, it is now a prosperous residential area.

Although Baozhou College is only a junior college, its area is not small, and the environment is not bad. It covers an area of more than 1,000 mu and is located on a small hill. The campus is full of green trees and red flowers, which makes people feel that studying here is a very pleasant thing.

Most of the buildings on campus were built decades ago, with red bricks and red tiles. Many are still tube-shaped buildings, but the construction quality at that time was not bad, and they have been maintained, so they don't look so dilapidated now.

There are several teaching buildings and dormitory buildings on campus that have been newly built in recent years, which look more modern. This is the achievement after Zhu Jimin took office.

Now it is July, which is the summer vacation period, and most of the students have gone home, so the campus looks very quiet.

Zhu Jimin's car drove to an eight-story office building and stopped. This office building is the Baozhou College Administration Building that was just completed last year. The leaders of Baozhou College and most of the administrative staff and some teachers work here, and the conference room is also here, so today's symposium will also be held here.
