Chapter 3004

Liu Yunqing's audit work was almost done. He had already obtained some evidence of fraud by relevant personnel. Xin Jing submitted this evidence to the Municipal Party Committee. Municipal Party Secretary Shi Fengnian convened a Standing Committee meeting, and it was decided at the Standing Committee meeting that the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Procuratorate would intervene in the investigation.

Based on the existing evidence, the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection took compulsory measures against Zheng Wu-ping, the Deputy Director of the Urban Construction Committee responsible for this bidding work, and relevant personnel, and launched an investigation into their problems.

The Municipal Procuratorate investigated those bidding agencies, focusing on their fraudulent behavior in this bidding activity.

A few days ago, Zheng Wu-ping had received a guarantee from Cheng Kaibin, saying that he had already asked Cheng Huangong to greet the leaders of Baozhou City. But who knew that he was suddenly taken away by the Commission for Discipline Inspection, which also shocked everyone in the Urban Construction Committee.

It can be said that Zheng Wu-ping being taken away by the Commission for Discipline Inspection deterred the entire Urban Construction Committee. In the past, the Urban Construction Committee was a disaster area for corruption. Things like making small moves in engineering bidding emerged one after another, and no one cared about it in the past. But this time, Zheng Wu-ping's matter made them see the determination of the municipal government, and such things would definitely converge a lot in the future.

Zheng Wu-ping's matter also made Cheng Kaibin very angry. He immediately called Cheng Huangong and told him that Zheng Wu-ping had been taken away by the Baozhou Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection. After Cheng Huangong heard it, he just said faintly that he knew, and hung up the phone.

But in fact, Cheng Huangong was already furious in his heart. He had called Xin Jing, thinking that Xin Jing would give him face as a Vice Governor, but who knew that Xin Jing didn't give him any face at all and took Zheng Wu-ping down directly.

Taking Zheng Wu-ping down was actually targeting him, Cheng Huangong. What was the matter for which Zheng Wu-ping was taken down? Wasn't it because of their Cheng family's matter? Since Zheng Wu-ping was taken down, it meant that the two bid sections in Cheng Kaibin's Huafu Company could not count, and Huafu Company was likely to be punished and would not be able to bid in the future.

This was equivalent to cutting off their Cheng family's financial path. This hatred was not small. More importantly, did Xin Jing put Vice Governor Cheng in her eyes?

Cheng Huangong knew that Xin Jing dared not put him, Cheng Huangong, in her eyes, mostly because she relied on Su Xinghui to support her behind her back. Su Xinghui's background was indeed no worse than their Cheng family. Therefore, Cheng Huangong not only hated Xin Jing, but he hated Su Xinghui even more.

Now that Zheng Wu-ping had been taken down, it was basically impossible for Cheng Huangong to save it. This meant that Huafu Real Estate Company was basically finished, and even the legal representative Old Han might have to bear legal responsibility.

Fortunately, Cheng Kaibin was not the legal representative of Huafu Real Estate Development Company, so no measures could be taken against him for the time being, so there was no need to worry about this aspect for the time being.

Cheng Huangong now hated Xin Jing and Su Xinghui to the bone. He was thinking about how to retaliate against them. If he didn't hit back after being slapped in the face like this, then he shouldn't be a Vice Governor.

But to be honest, it was not easy for him to retaliate. Su Xinghui's background was also quite strong. If he wanted to collide with Su Xinghui, he might not be able to collide. Therefore, Cheng Huangong also had to think about a plan on how to deal with Su Xinghui.
