Chapter 3172

That night was another restless night. Gu Aimin didn't even have time to eat before returning to the Public Security Bureau overnight to make arrangements.

Tang Wenyao convened the personnel of the Discipline Inspection Commission and made arrangements for them as well, while Zhao Yichen stayed in his office, waiting for them to report the situation. He wouldn't go home that night; he would sleep in his office.

Su Su Xinghui did go home. He had handed the material to Zhao Yichen and expressed his views, so there was no need for him to stay in the office. The remaining matters were no longer within his scope of responsibility. Of course, if the final handling of this matter didn't meet his expectations, he wouldn't stand idly by.

That same night, the few traffic police officers who had issued receipts were summoned to the bureau, and an investigation was conducted. The Public Security Bureau and the Finance Bureau also brought out the fine revenue accounts from the past few years for inspection.

Those few traffic police officers, having no psychological preparation, were summoned to the bureau. Facing the joint interrogation by the bureau's discipline inspection department and the municipal discipline inspection department, and facing ironclad evidence, they quickly collapsed. Like beans spilling from a bamboo tube, they confessed everything about the fact that they had been collecting monthly fees from truck drivers.

In the following days, the incident continued to ferment, and the facts became clearer and clearer.
