Chapter 3509

Niuniu said, "My dad chose it for me."

Yang Yuanshen said, "Then do you know why your dad chose this name for you?"

Niuniu said, "I know, my dad hopes that when I grow up, I can become a pillar of the country!"

Yang Yuanshen nodded and said, "Well said. I believe that when you grow up, you will definitely become a pillar of the country!"

Yang Yuanshen really liked Niuniu. Niuniu was polite, helpful, kind, upright, handsome, and talented. Such a child was truly rare. He believed that under Su Xinghui's cultivation, Niuniu would definitely be able to grow into a pillar!

Su Xinghui felt a stir in his heart and said to Yang Yuanshen, "Professor Yang, I have a presumptuous request. I wonder if you could agree?"

Yang Yuanshen said with a smile, "Go ahead."

Su Xinghui said, "Could I please ask you to teach Weizhen Chinese studies?"

Yang Yuanshen said, "You yourself are a disciple of a master of Chinese studies, with a deep family heritage, why would you think of asking me to teach him Chinese studies?"

Su Xinghui said, "My work is too busy, and I have very little time to teach him. Besides, how can my Chinese studies compare to yours? I haven't really read books in the ten-plus years I've been working, so I hope you can agree to my request!"

Su Xinghui was being sincere. Originally, Professor Qin Jie would have been the most suitable person to teach Niuniu, but he was in Jiangcheng, too far from Baozhou, and Professor Qin was already in his seventies and didn't have that much energy anymore.

Professor Qin Jie had always admired some of Yang Yuanshen's viewpoints, and the two could be considered to have mutual appreciation. There was no problem with Yang Yuanshen's scholarship. If he could teach Niuniu Chinese studies, it would be Niuniu's good fortune.

Yang Yuanshen didn't answer but smiled at Niuniu and asked, "Su Weizhen, are you willing to learn Chinese studies from me?" ===== CHAPTER 3511 =====
