Chapter 3571

He introduced the names and characteristics of these plants to Su Xinghui as if he were counting his family treasures. Su Xinghui nodded repeatedly as he listened. According to what Guan Tongfu said, in about seven or eight years, these lands would be able to start growing crops again. Although the time was still long, it finally gave people hope.

Su Xinghui said to Guan Tongfu, "General Manager Guan, thank you! If these lands can regain their vitality, you will be the number one contributor!"

Su Xinghui's tone was very sincere. He was really grateful to Guan Tongfu. At the beginning, this piece of land polluted by heavy metals had been sentenced to death by many experts, who believed that it would be difficult for these lands to recover. But with Guan Tongfu's efforts, this piece of land saw hope again.

Guan Tongfu smiled and said, "Mayor Su, you overstate it. What I am doing is also a kind of mutual benefit. I have restored and treated the heavy metal-polluted land for you, and I have also made money myself."

Guan Tongfu had indeed made money by running this Tongfu Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. According to the contract he signed with the Baozhou Municipal Government, the Baozhou Municipal Government had to pay them more than 300 million in treatment fees every year. They could also make a sum of money by purchasing tailings. After deducting various expenses, their annual profit was probably over 100 million.

In addition to restoring and treating these heavy metal-polluted lands in Baozhou, Tongfu Environmental Protection Technology had also signed agreements to restore and treat heavy metal-polluted lands with several neighboring cities. Although the area of heavy metal-polluted land in the neighboring cities was not as large as that in Baozhou, it was not small when added together.

Now, cities from outside the province had come to them by reputation and signed relevant treatment agreements with Tongfu Environmental Protection Technology. It could be said that Tongfu Environmental Protection Technology was the most authoritative company in China in terms of treating heavy metal pollution today. Therefore, the future development prospects of Tongfu Environmental Protection Technology were still quite large, and Guan Tongfu, young as he was, had also become a billionaire.

Su Xinghui said, "The money you earned is what you should earn. Therefore, no matter how much you earn, I will never feel that you have earned too much. I hope you can earn more money."

Guan Tongfu laughed and said, "Mayor Su, thank you. However, I hope even more that my Tongfu Environmental Protection Technology will not have a single business deal. If that were the case, my wish would be fulfilled!"

Su Xinghui understood what Guan Tongfu meant. He said he hoped that Tongfu Environmental Protection Technology would not have a single business deal, which was equivalent to saying that there was not a single piece of land polluted by heavy metals in this world.

This is like the couplet of the old pharmacy: "If only all the common people were free from illness, why worry about the dust on the shelves?" and the couplet of the coffin shop: "I only fear that business is too good; I only hope that customers do not come." These are all words of good wishes and prayers.

However, such a thing is impossible to happen. Birth, aging, sickness, and death are all common human experiences, and heavy metal pollution is also impossible to be completely eliminated, because there will always be people who, for their own selfish interests, go to mine illegally and cause large-scale heavy metal pollution.

Su Xinghui knew that in Huxi Province alone, the area of heavy metal pollution was very large, and the rice grown in those places could not be eaten.

Of course, Su Xinghui also hoped that Guan Tongfu's wish could be fulfilled. He laughed and said, "General Manager Guan, I think that one day, your wish will be fulfilled, and our world will definitely become better and better!"
