Chapter 3733

Those drivers sent Zhao Hua to the hospital for treatment, and Dong Ziqian washed his hands and returned to the office as if nothing had happened.

This matter spread throughout the entire municipal government. However, those drivers and Zhao Hua didn't dare to say why Zhao Hua was beaten, and Dong Ziqian didn't want to spread this matter out to avoid affecting Su Xinghui's reputation. Therefore, everyone had different opinions on the cause of this matter.

After Su Xinghui returned, he heard about this matter and called Dong Ziqian to his office, saying, "Dong Ziqian, why did you beat Zhao Hua?"

Dong Ziqian said, "He was talking nonsense, he deserved to be beaten."

Su Xinghui said, "Dong Ziqian, I know you are not a reckless person. What exactly did he say that made you beat him like that?"

Only then did Dong Ziqian say, "Mayor, he was badmouthing you behind your back."

Only then did Su Xinghui understand what Zhao Hua had said that made Dong Ziqian beat him up like that.

Su Xinghui said with a straight face, "No matter what he said, you shouldn't have beaten anyone. How about this, you go to the hospital to visit him, apologize to him, and pay for his medical expenses. Can you do that?"

Dong Ziqian stiffened his neck and said, "I won't go. He badmouthed you, what's wrong with me beating him?"

Su Xinghui was both angry and amused. He said, "Hurry up and go. If you don't go, don't intern here anymore."

When Dong Ziqian heard this, he nodded and said, "Fine, Mayor, I'll go. Please don't stop me from interning here."
