Chapter 4067

The major mining disaster at the Fengling Coal Mine three years ago had cast a shadow and a sense of sorrow over the entire Fengling Town. However, after three years, the current Fengling Town had slowly recovered its vitality, and it was even more vibrant than before, which made Su Xinghui very gratified.

After listening to the reports and taking a short rest, Su Xinghui set off again to visit a few villages in Fengling Town.

Most of the area in Fengling Town was in the mountains; therefore, life here had been very difficult in the past. The land was barren, income from planting was very low, and because the road and traffic conditions were also very poor, the produce from the mountains could not be transported out, which made the income of the common folk in Fengling Town very low.

Later, several coal mines in the town made Fengling Town prosperous, but the prosperity of the coal mines did not drive an increase in the economic income of the ordinary common folk. Their income was still very low. Some common folk who went to work in the coal mines saw their family income increase a little, but this was money earned at the cost of their lives.

Now, this situation had improved a lot because Fengling Town was currently making every effort to improve the traffic conditions of the entire town. They not only widened the road from Fengling Town to Fengming District but also implemented the "Village-to-Village" project for mountain villages, planning to connect all villages in the town with roads within five years. Even if it were just a single-lane rural road, it could greatly improve the traffic in the villages.

As the saying goes, if you want to get rich, build roads first. Once the roads are built, enterprises will naturally come to invest. Once enterprises come to invest, the produce from the mountains can be turned into money, and the common folk in the mountains can also go to work in these enterprises. Their income will naturally be able to increase significantly, which makes the lives of the common folk better and better.
