Chapter 4148

Zhang Xueliang said, "I returned to China five years ago. At that time, President Hou of Hanhai Science and Technology went to the United States in person to persuade me to return to China to join Hanhai Science and Technology, to build and lead the Quantum Physics Laboratory of the Hanhai Science and Technology Research Institute. He promised me the greatest autonomy and the best research environment. I felt President Hou's sincerity, and I am also Chinese, hoping to contribute to China's scientific and technological development, so I returned."

The male host said, "Mr. Zhang Xueliang said it very well. Yes, although Mr. Zhang is a Chinese-American, he was after all born and raised in China and has deep feelings for China. We hope that overseas Chinese and people with lofty ideals from all over the world can return to the motherland and contribute to the construction of the motherland."

The female host said, "Of course, this still requires them to be willing. Now is a diversified society, and people's choices are also diversified. If the scientific research conditions abroad are better and more conducive to their scientific research work, we should also respect their choices."

The words of the two hosts made many people show thoughtful expressions on their faces.

Many people off-stage were from overseas. They acquired foreign citizenship just because the scientific research conditions abroad were better, allowing them to better engage in scientific research work. They were all scientific research fanatics, thinking only of engaging in scientific research work in a better environment.

There is a saying that goes well: Science has no borders, but scientists have a motherland. This is a famous quote by the famous French scientist Pasteur. At that time, he refused an award presented to him by Germany, which launched the war of aggression against France. At that time, he said this sentence, and this sentence also became a famous quote passed down through the ages.
