Chapter 4224

That night, in the activity room of the Party School, the municipal party secretary short-term training class carried out chess, Go, table tennis, and badminton competitions, which were also organized by Su Xinghui, the sports committee member.

The area of the activity room of the Party School was not small, and all kinds of facilities were very complete. There was a chess and card room in the activity room, several table tennis tables, and two indoor badminton courts. Therefore, holding such competitions had unique conditions.

The number of students in this short-term training class was not large, and the mass foundation of these competitions was very deep, so almost every competition had more than 20 participants, and most people reported three or four competitions.

As an organizer, Su Xinghui naturally participated actively. He reported three items, namely chess, table tennis, and badminton.

That night was the first round of the four competitions. Su Xinghui first played a game of chess. His opponent was Fu Minzhong. Su Xinghui's chess power was quite strong. He often played chess with Old Yu and could be considered a match for his opponent.

And Fu Minzhong's chess power was equally extraordinary and very old-fashioned. He played a match with Su Xinghui, and both games were drawn. Finally, in the fast chess, he made a mistake, let Su Xinghui exchange a car with him, and fell into a disadvantage. Su Xinghui seized this advantage, played steadily, and finally defeated Fu Minzhong and entered the next round.

The onlookers were very sorry for Fu Minzhong's defeat, because his chess power was considered quite powerful among all participants. Unfortunately, he drew such a powerful opponent as Su Xinghui in the first round. If it weren't for this, he would definitely be able to achieve a better ranking.

After playing chess, Su Xinghui played the first round of table tennis with Wu Geng. This time he won quite easily. Wu Geng was also a person around fifty years old. In this kind of sports, he couldn't compare with Su Xinghui at all. In terms of skills and strength, he had a huge gap with Su Xinghui who exercised every day.

Su Xinghui only spent more than ten minutes and defeated Wu Geng in two straight sets.

Just after finishing the table tennis competition, after resting for only a few minutes, Su Xinghui participated in the first round of the badminton competition. This time his opponent was Yan Junfeng. The badminton competition had higher requirements for physical fitness. Yan Junfeng was more than ten years older than Su Xinghui, so how could he be Su Xinghui's opponent?

Therefore, Su Xinghui also spent more than ten minutes and successfully defeated Yan Junfeng.

In this way, in the first round of today's competition, Su Xinghui won all three items and entered the next round.

After Su Xinghui's three competitions ended, Zhang Chongshan smiled and gave him a thumbs up, "Xinghui, you are amazing!"

Su Xinghui wiped the sweat on his head, "Old Zhang, how is your battle situation today?"

Zhang Chongshan could also be considered a sports enthusiast, so he reported all four items. He said with some frustration, "Alas, I lost two of the four items today, and only won Go and table tennis. Chess and badminton both lost."

Su Xinghui said, "That can be considered not bad. Strive to win a Go championship!"

Zhang Chongshan laughed, "Is it because you didn't participate in the Go competition, so I could win a championship?"

Su Xinghui laughed, "You can't say that either. Your Go level is still very high."

Zhang Chongshan shook his head, "I have a count in my heart. If you hadn't voluntarily given up the Go item, I wouldn't be able to beat you."

Su Xinghui also played chess with Zhang Chongshan in the dormitory a few days ago, both Go and chess. Zhang Chongshan knew that Su Xinghui's level was quite high, and he was definitely a powerful contender for the championship of the two chess competitions.

In this four-item competition, Su Xinghui only reported three items. Zhang Chongshan probably also understood Su Xinghui's meaning, that is, he didn't want to be too much in the limelight.

If Su Xinghui really won all four championships, the limelight would certainly be out, but there would certainly be people who had opinions about him. It was like this in China, the tree is beautiful in the forest, and the wind will destroy it.

Especially in officialdom, it is better to be harmonious and follow the dust.

Su Xinghui was the youngest in this short-term training class and was already in the limelight enough, so he didn't want to win all four championships, and still left one competition for others to compete for.

Su Xinghui just laughed.

Zhang Chongshan said, "Then I also wish you to win three championships."

Su Xinghui said, "That's not necessarily true. There are people outside people, and there are mountains outside mountains."

Zhang Chongshan said seriously, "I watched your three competitions today. Your level is too high. I estimate that no one is your opponent. As long as you are serious, you have a good hope of winning these three championships."

Qian Wenyu walked over and said, "Yes, Comrade Xinghui, I also think you have a good hope of winning three championships!"

Qian Wenyu also reported to participate in table tennis and badminton competitions today, but she was eliminated in the first round. Women in sports, compared with men, still couldn't compare.

If it were a competition in their own city, she would certainly be able to sweep everything and finally lift the championship trophy, but this was a short-term training class for municipal party secretaries. All participants were municipal party secretaries. Who would let her? So it was not strange that she was eliminated.

She also watched Su Xinghui's competition and was very optimistic about his strength.

Su Xinghui smiled, "Since Big Sister Qian also said so, then I must work hard!"

Zhang Chongshan whispered to Su Xinghui again, "On the day of the final, President Yu is going to watch it on the spot. You must work hard. If you can reach the three finals and win the championship in all three, then President Yu's impression of you will definitely be very deep."

This time, the sports competitions held by this municipal party secretary short-term training class would all be completed within this week, and the finals would be held on the afternoon of this Sunday.

When preparing for these sports competitions, several class cadres invited school leaders to watch the finals on the spot. Originally, they didn't intend for Yu Jianyuan to watch, but Executive Vice President He Lin told class monitor Zhang Chongshan today that President Yu would also come to watch these finals on Sunday.

This made Zhang Chongshan very happy. He was also very hard-working in these competitions, but in the end, his skills were not as good as others, and he lost two competitions, which made him very sorry.

He told Su Xinghui this news, also hoping to attract his attention.

Although Su Xinghui's father-in-law was also a big leader, it was also a good thing to be valued by Yu Jianyuan.

Su Xinghui nodded and said, "Sure, then let's encourage each other and strive to be able to play on that day."

Qian Wenyu smiled, "Then I will come to cheer for you every day and be your cheerleader."

Zhang Chongshan smiled and said, "With a beautiful and elegant lady like Wenyu as our cheerleader, we will definitely fight to enter the final!"

In this week, these four competitions were held for four rounds, and finally, the final list of the four competitions was decided.
