Chapter 475

Joao asked, "This gentleman, what dishes did you eat at that time?"

Su Xinghui recalled, "At that time, I ate pan-fried foie gras with black truffle, baked snails, French-style stewed potatoes, cream mushroom soup, and the dessert after the meal was macarons."

Joao nodded excitedly, "This gentleman, you have studied French cuisine very deeply. These are all classic dishes in French cuisine."

Su Xinghui couldn't help but smile bitterly. How could this be his study of French cuisine? It was entirely because his wife in his previous life thought Western food was more high-end than Chinese food and insisted on dragging him to a high-end Western restaurant and letting the waiter introduce it.

Of course, Su Xinghui also felt that these dishes were indeed delicious, so he remembered the names of the dishes.

Seeing that Joao didn't know Su Xinghui's name, Deputy Manager Li quickly told Joao, "This is Mr. Su Xinghui, Su, who is the deputy township head of this township."

Joao apologized to Su Xinghui, "Respected Mr. Su, I was rude just now."

Su Xinghui smiled, "It doesn't matter, Mr. Joao."

Joao really liked Chinese food, and he praised every dish on the table endlessly.

After the meal, Deputy Manager Li went to collect the bamboo weaving, and Joao stayed at Fang Youcai's house. He said to Xia Zhu, "Beautiful Miss Xia Zhu, you really have unparalleled artistic talent. If you can go to Paris to systematically study art, you will become a great artist! Therefore, I have to persuade you again."

Xia Zhu glanced at Su Xinghui and then smiled at Joao, "Respected Mr. Joao, I really cannot go to Paris to study any art. You may not know much about the situation in my family. My father was injured and is now inconvenient to move. I also have two younger siblings who are still in school. This family needs me, and I cannot just leave."

Joao said anxiously, "But Miss Xia, you really have very high artistic talent. If you don't go to Paris to study, it is possible that your talent will be wasted!"

Xia Zhu smiled, "Mr. Joao, thank you for your concern, but even if I stay here, I don't think my talent will be wasted."

Joao asked with some doubt, "Why? Do you have a teacher here to teach you?"

Xia Zhu looked at Su Xinghui and said, "Yes, my teacher is him, Su Xinghui. Mr. Joao, perhaps you don't know that a year ago, I couldn't draw at all. It was Su Xinghui who taught me how to draw. He started teaching me from sketching, and until now, my drawing has finally made some progress. I think as long as he can always teach me, even if I don't go to Paris, I will make great progress."

Joao looked at Su Xinghui with some disbelief, "Is Mr. Su a painter? Isn't he a government official?"

Su Xinghui said, "Mr. Joao, I shouldn't be considered a painter, just an enthusiast who likes to draw."

Joao said, "Mr. Su, can I see your paintings?"

Su Xinghui said with some difficulty, "My paintings are all put in the township government."

Joao said, "No problem, the township government shouldn't be far from here, shall we go and see it together?"

Xia Zhu said, "I have a few of his sketches at home. If Mr. Joao wants to see them, I will go and get them."

Joao nodded and said, "I want to see, I want to see."
