Chapter 484

The old man then patted his thigh and said: "Right, right, right, Little Su, look at my memory. You've bought quite a few stamps from me, but it's been a while since you've come, hasn't it?"

This old man was named Hou Dali, and he had been setting up his stamp stall here for many years. Su Xinghui often bought stamps from him because Hou Dali was an honest man who conducted business with integrity. Even when Su Xinghui was just a child, he never cheated him; the stamps he sold to Su Xinghui were always at the correct price.

Ever since Su Xinghui was reborn, he hadn't come to the Post and Telecommunications Bureau to buy stamps, so it had been over a year.

Now he wanted to buy more stamps and other collectibles so that later, when these items appreciated in value, his wealth would have a legitimate source.

Su Xinghui smiled: "Boss Hou, do you have any good stamps today? I want to buy some."

Hou Dali laughed: "Of course I have good stamps. Don't you know me? I have the most good stamps here. And Little Su, you're really lucky; coming to buy stamps now is the best time."

Su Xinghui became interested as soon as he heard this: "Boss Hou, why is now the best time to buy stamps?"

Hou Dali said: "Do you know about the stamp market craze the year before last?"

Su Xinghui shook his head. He really didn't know about this. For one, he wasn't a stamp speculator; in his previous life, he just liked collecting stamps. The year before last, he was still in college and wasn't very sensitive to the fluctuations of the stamp market. Secondly, he had been reborn to over twenty years ago, and of course, he didn't remember the events of twenty years ago very clearly.

Hou Dali said: "To be precise, the stamp market craze started in 1990. It was truly terrifying back then; everyone was like crazy, and the prices of all stamps rose several times over in just a few months. You know about the Monkey Stamp, right?"

Su Xinghui nodded. Of course he knew about the Monkey Stamp; he had come today specifically for it.

Hou Dali said: "In June the year before last, the price of the Monkey Stamp rose to its peak, reaching two hundred and fifty yuan per stamp!" ===== CHAPTER 486 =====
