Chapter 531

Even if Zhang Kaishan or Comrade Ji Tao were willing to help Xu Haimin, in the end, what should have been a normal payment process could potentially turn into an abuse of power, leading to an outcome that wouldn't be a solution.

If it ended up causing conflict between county leaders, or even reigniting a political storm, that wouldn't be a good thing for Zhang Kaishan and Comrade Ji Tao either. It would leave a bad impression on their superiors: "Are you so intolerant of others? You managed to get the former Shan Guozhi and his group ousted, and now you can't tolerate the newly transferred Executive Deputy County Magistrate?"

After pondering for a long time, Su Xinghui said, "How about this, Uncle Xu: just tell County Magistrate Jia that the company's shareholders do not agree to the engineering team's affiliation, but can only accept the team joining the company. See what his reaction is first. If he still insists on affiliation, call me again, and I'll think of a way for you."

Xu Haimin had come to trust Su Xinghui deeply during this period. Hearing Su Xinghui's words, he nodded and said, "Alright, I'll tell him that first. Sigh, it's really hard to get things done nowadays!"

Su Xinghui also nodded with a solemn expression. The current political climate was too poor; it was indeed too difficult for people like Xu Haimin to get things done properly, especially when trying to do so without compromising their conscience.

But what could be done? Should he go and burn incense and worship at every office that managed him, just like other construction bosses? If he did that for a long time, how would he be any different from the other construction bosses?

In the end, this was still a problem with the political climate. It hadn't provided a good environment for those who genuinely wanted to get things done. As cadres, they had a responsibility to change this climate and create a good working environment for people like Xu Haimin.

Of course, this wasn't something that could be achieved overnight. It required time and the efforts of many people. It was a difficult task, but no matter how difficult, Su Xinghui had to persist. Otherwise, what would be the point of his rebirth? ===== CHAPTER 533 =====
