Chapter 640

Lu Xiaoya said, "Why can't I buy you clothes? Isn't today Valentine's Day? You gave me flowers, so I have to give you a Valentine's Day gift, right?"

Su Xinghui felt warm inside after hearing her words and nodded, "Okay, then I accept this gift!"

Lu Xiaoya suddenly exclaimed, "Where are my flowers? I haven't taken my flowers yet, I left them in that Western restaurant!"

Su Xinghui also smiled bitterly. The car accident happened too suddenly just now, and both he and Lu Xiaoya rushed out of the restaurant, so how could they care about the flowers? Neither of them thought about going to get the flowers at all. Fortunately, the bill had been paid, otherwise, they would probably be treated as people eating for free.

Su Xinghui said, "I'll buy you another bouquet later."

Lu Xiaoya said, "That won't do, those were the first flowers you gave me, they have commemorative significance. Let's go back and look for them later."

Su Xinghui nodded and said, "Okay, let's go back and look for them. If we really can't find them, I'll buy you another bouquet."

Lu Xiaoya nodded gently. She acted a bit coquettishly and put both her hands into Su Xinghui's hands. Her hands weren't big, soft as if without bones. Su Xinghui held her hands tightly in his own. The room was so quiet that one could almost hear the two people's heartbeats.

Just as the atmosphere in the room was becoming more and more romantic, Yang Jiong hurried back. He saw the two holding hands at a glance and hurriedly stopped. Lu Xiaoya shyly pulled her hand out of Su Xinghui's hand.

Su Xinghui said, "Captain Yang, if there's nothing else, we'll leave first."

Yang Jiong said, "Don't leave yet, there's something to discuss with you."

Su Xinghui said, "What is it?"

Yang Jiong said with a bitter smile, "Sigh, isn't it just those messy things? Just now our deputy director called me, saying that the city bureau leader told him that the kid has a big background, so let us let him go. His family said they are willing to pay money, as much as needed. I said there were already witnesses who made statements, so he asked me to work on the witnesses to see if the statements could be withdrawn."

Su Xinghui shook his head, "Withdraw the statement? That's impossible."

Lu Xiaoya also said, "If we must withdraw the statement, I will disclose this matter in the newspaper."

Yang Jiong was bitter. He said to the two, "That kid said, as long as you withdraw the statement, he is willing to pay money, five thousand or ten thousand is not a problem."

Su Xinghui shook his head, "We can't withdraw the statement, no matter how much money. Captain Yang, I won't make it difficult for you either. You let your director come, and just say we don't agree."
