Chapter 1428: with translation of chapter title

1428. Chapter 1428: Shangguan Yun Reveals His True Nature 3

My relationship with Shangguan Yun had finally improved a little; if I went to her cousin's birthday party with Ahao, Shangguan Yun would surely misunderstand me even more. To be honest, I don't want him to misunderstand.

"Afang, you don't know her?" Ahao said with a smile.

Now it was my turn to be stunned, my turn to be dumbfounded—I never expected Afang to be Ahao's cousin, and I didn't even know.

Their relationship is so close to mine, yet I didn't even know about their relationship.

And they didn't even tell me… this… this is just too unfair.

"Then why didn't you ever tell me you two are cousins? And Afang didn't even tell me it's her birthday today." I asked, stunned, looking at Ahao with a puzzled expression.

"You never asked before, did you?" Ahao said with a smile.

"Afang didn't tell me either—no wonder she recognized you last time." I then recalled that when Tingting played that video before, Afang instantly recognized Ahao; as her cousin, it would be strange if she didn't know him.

"Come to think of it, I heard her mention that she knows you. So there's this connection after all." I said, suddenly enlightened.

"Aunt, do you agree or not?" Ahao didn't answer my question; instead he went to ask Lao Ma.

He didn't even ask whether I agree or not; if I didn't go, what would it matter even if Lao Ma agreed?

But he should have realized long ago that I couldn't possibly miss Afang's birthday.

"It's fine, it's fine, go ahead—anyway, Xuanxuan knows her too." Lao Ma said with a smile.

Lao Ma seems to believe others easily; if it were me, she'd surely ask this and that, but seeing Ahao just say it, she agreed without even asking.

"Then let's go now." After hearing Lao Ma's words, Ahao smiled and said to me.

Sigh… without saying anything else, I just put my things in the room and followed Ahao out.
