144. Chapter 144 Haohua's Explanation 6

"You……"

I've been waiting here for you all along, I've been waiting here for you, I will keep waiting until you come." Haohua continued speaking to me in a sad tone before I could even open my mouth to speak. Hearing his words, my heart felt sour all over, and tears immediately rolled out. I hung up the phone and immediately sat up, quickly putting on my clothes, but tears uncontrollably streamed down. My roommate saw me answer a call and burst into tears, hurriedly asking what happened. I put on my pants, threw on my coat, and while telling them Haohua was still waiting for me in the park, they urged me to hurry over. I didn't even have time to put on shoes, so I ran out wearing the cute slippers Haohua bought me in summer, not even having time to put on socks.

Tears continued without stopping; I ran, as soon as I left the dorm I sprinted with all my legs. Outside it was pitch black. At that moment I forgot the cold; the outside cold wind kept drilling into my neck, yet I felt nothing.

Usually when I walked hand in hand with Haohua to the park, it felt like we could get there quickly, but for some reason the road now feels extraordinarily long; no matter how hard I run, I still feel the park is far, far away.

When I arrived, panting, at the place where I had parted with Haohua today, under the dim light, Haohua was still sitting on that icy stone bench, looking at his face already turned blue from the cold, my heart ached deeply.

When I stepped in front of Haohua, he stood up and embraced me, saying: "Finally I've waited for you, finally I've waited for you, I thought you wouldn't come." His voice was somewhat choked, somewhat trembling, his body abnormally cold.

I reached out my hand and tightly wrapped my arms around his waist, tears in my eyes, saying: "You never left, have you been waiting all this time until now?"

Haohua didn't speak, just nodded at me. I felt both moved and heartbroken, and also blamed myself: if I hadn't been so willful and walked away back then, if I had passed by the park after finishing my meal, then Haohua wouldn't have been standing here freezing for several hours.

Looking at the time, it was already late, almost ten o'clock, and the dorm was about to lock its doors. Yet Haoran kept refusing to let me leave; the park was so desolate, gusts of cold wind made me shiver.
