1897. Chapter 1897 Heartache, I Love You 13

It seems our love is like—flowers in water, moon in the mirror, vague and indistinct, cannot be seen clearly, cannot be grasped, cannot be guessed……

Shangguan Yun gently held my head, gently looked at me, took a soft breath and said: "Honey, please don't be like this, okay? Seeing you like this hurts my heart."

Hearing Shangguan Yun say that again, my heart ached sharply once more.

The window wasn't shut tight; a gust of cold wind blew in, drifting straight into my body, freezing me so I shivered all over, so cold I trembled……

In an instant, my body shuddered violently; yet Shangguan Yun tightly embraced me, looking at me with heartache and said: "Does it hurt a lot? Remember to wear more clothes from now on, okay?"

I lightly bit my lower lip, tears in my eyes, gently shook my head without speaking.

"What's wrong…" Shangguan Yun asked gently, looking at me.

His gentle gaze once again drew me deep in.

"Shangguan Yun… I'm not cold; with you by my side, leaning in your embrace, I won't be cold. But do you know? How cold my heart is—can you feel it?" I had tears in my eyes, my throat unusually choked.

After hearing my words, Shangguan Yun's eyes grew sad again; he said nothing, just held me tightly, his chin lightly resting against my head……

Thus, neither of us spoke, while I leaned in Shangguan Yun's embrace, silently sobbing.

Actually, crying alone while hiding is far more miserable than crying in Shangguan Yun's arms.

When I had cried myself out, I weakly told Shangguan Yun: "I want to go wash my face."

Only then did Shangguan Yun release me, letting me go into the bathroom to wash my face myself.

Regarding Shangguan Yun's action, my heart turned cold again.

If it were before, Shangguan Yun would surely have helped me into the bathroom and then thoughtfully washed my face for me.
