2429. Chapter 2429 The True Purpose 16

Shangguan Yun's mother actually cried over what Shangguan Yun said.

Suddenly, I began to feel sympathy for Shangguan Yun's mother again.

I understand; actually, Shangguan Yun's mother might really not have it easy either.

Everyone has their own thoughts in their heart; likewise, everyone's heart also harbors their own difficulties.

Perhaps Shangguan Yun's words were a bit too much; perhaps they struck a sore spot for Shangguan Yun's mother.

Watching Shangguan Yun's mother cry in such anguish.

I had intended to take the phone from Shangguan Yun's mother's hand, but unexpectedly she suddenly lifted her head and clenched the phone tightly.

She glared at me fiercely and said, "What do you want? You dare to run away?"

It turned out that Shangguan Yun's mother thought I wanted to speak with Shangguan Yun, asking for help.

I said nothing; I merely gave Shangguan Yun's mother a contemptuous glance.

"Crazy, you're really crazy; if you still regard me as your son in your heart, then send Xuanxuan back to me, or else we will immediately cut off mother‑son ties." Shangguan Yun seemed to have heard our conversation and shouted loudly again.

"A Yun, you really make me feel cold‑hearted; I've done so much for you, yet you do this for an unrelated person toward your mother—do you think that's right? Do you think what you're doing is correct?" Shangguan Yun's mother wiped her tears and went on.

"Mother? Do you think you have the right? Do you even consider me your son? Why don't you ask me what I truly want? Why don't you ask me whether you like the things you've done for me? Have you ever thought about how my feelings would be? You bring Xuanxuan with you—how worried I am in my heart, I feel awful, I'm heart‑broken—do you even know? Is this what you call doing things for me?" Shangguan Yun's voice remained loud and angry, yet tinged with faint sorrow.

I can understand Shangguan Yun's pain and feelings.
