"Mm. Don't worry, I won't do anything to let you down." Shangguan Yun looked at me with a smile and said.

I nodded and said, "Mm, if you're bored at home alone, come over, come over to my place; Liu Xi should be home." I looked at Shangguan Yun, feeling a bit heart‑ached, and said.

Shangguan Yun chuckled and said, "Mm, be careful, come back early; if you're late, give me a call and I'll pick you up."

I nodded happily, watching Shangguan Yun leave.

After Shangguan Yun left, I went inside……

The feeling after a long separation from friends was also quite extraordinary……

Many of us were together, chatting on and on, and we talked until very late…… After we finished eating, some people even suggested going out to play.

I didn't refuse either, after all, it's been so long since we last saw each other.

If I said I wanted to go home, wouldn't that be a buzzkill?

In between, Shangguan Yun only made a few calls asking when I'd be going back; I said I had it under control, and after that, Shangguan Yun didn't call again.

Right up until it was time to go back, Shangguan Yun didn't call either.

I thought, Shangguan Yun was either busy or hanging out with friends.

So I didn't think much more about it.

By the time I wanted to go home, it was already almost past eleven.

So I gave Shangguan Yun a call……

After a long while, Shangguan Yun finally picked up the phone and said, "Honey, are you coming back?"

I nodded and said, "Mm, I'm heading back. Haven't you slept yet?"

"I've been waiting for you to come back; I'll go pick you up, it's pretty late," Shangguan Yun said.

"No need, I'm already in a vehicle; I'll be home soon, no need to come out and get me—it's too much trouble." Actually, I was still on the road.

I really didn't want to trouble Shangguan Yun to come pick me up……

"Oh, you're already in the car, then never mind. Talk later if anything comes up." Shangguan Yun said and then hung up.
