29. Chapter 29 Can't Bear to Part

I kept wondering how Shangguan Yun was doing in the room next door; suddenly my mind was full of him. Thinking back to his desolate silhouette just earlier, his lonely body looked even more isolated under the moonlight's shroud, especially the way he smoked, which made one feel a bit heartache—his gaze seemed to be filled with things. Lying in bed, tossing and turning, I just couldn't fall asleep.

When I got up the next day, my younger brother said he had already left, but I didn't see Shangguan Yun's figure, and suddenly I felt as if something was missing, feeling a bit uneasy.

Later, Liu Xi secretly told me that Shangguan Yun had already left early in the morning, afraid that if he were discovered by Lao Ma when he got up, he wouldn't want to cause me trouble; thinking of his thoughtfulness, I suddenly wanted to call him.

At the end of his words, Liu Xi handed me a piece of paper and said, "This is Shangguan Yun's address; you can go find him."

I didn't take that note, saying, "Why would I look for him? By the way, how do you know Shangguan Yun? Let me tell you, he's a hooligan; you mustn't follow him and learn bad habits." I sternly warned Liu Xi.

I only have this younger brother; naturally I don't want him to go bad. Although he sometimes gets into fights at school, after all his nature is different from Shangguan Yun's, and I don't want him to have anything to do with society's troubles.

"Don't worry, I'm not a little kid anymore; I know my limits. As for you, Shangguan Yun said last night he had fallen for you, and in the middle of the night he specially came to our house just to see you—don't you have even a little feeling for him?"

"Tch, kids shouldn't meddle in others' affairs. Someone like him won't be serious about feelings; even if he's interested in me now, if we really got together, who knows when he'd dump me."

"Older sister, actually you can tell, he's quite sincere toward you."

After hearing Liu Xi's words, my heart was touched again, but I still knocked hard on his head and said, "How long have you known that person? You understand him so well, and even whether he's sincere—just mind your own business." Having said that, I walked away, leaving Liu Xi alone rubbing his sore head. He deserved it; who let a boy learn to be so gossipy?

After finishing my meal and returning to my room, I kept staring at the address Liu Xi gave me, not knowing why I actually couldn't bring myself to throw it away.
