Chapter 294: There's a Reason for Everything 11
294. Chapter 294: There's a Reason for Everything 11
"Don't look at me—I just finished my smoke. Hey, you've got some, right? Share a puff with me." Ahao joked as he said this to me. I was amused by him, took out a cigarette from my pocket and handed it to him, saying, "Here, have half a pack." I said generously.
"Just leave it here for now, remember, you owe me ten cigarettes. When I want to smoke, I'll ask you for them; otherwise, if you take them out they'll surely go bad." Ahao took the cigarette, opened it, pulled out two, and handed them back to me.
I also reached out, took it, and put it in my pocket. Ahao lit the cigarette and handed it to me, saying, "Here, have one."
I took it, placed it in my mouth, and took a deep drag. I felt nothing, yet I ended up liking this feeling.
After one puff I wanted a second, but on the third I got choked.
"You can't smoke, huh? Haha… I dare say this is your second time smoking, right? And you got choked the first time too." Ahao took a deep drag, blew the smoke in my face, and laughed as he said.
I widened my eyes at him and said, "How do you know? That's amazing. You even know that?"
"I just know." Ahao said proudly. "Quick, tell me how you know?" I asked, tugging at his shirt.
"But I won't tell you now. We'll save it for next time, when I get a chance to tell you. Let's keep drinking—smoking and drinking at the same time probably hasn't happened before, right?" Ahao said as he filled my glass.
Indeed, it hasn't. The people on TV are always drinking and smoking at the same time, and Shangguan Yun does too.
"I don't know what it feels like, but I neither drink nor smoke. When I drink, I only feel the bitterness; when I smoke, I only feel the harshness." I said with a wry smile.
"That shows these things aren't for you. Don't force yourself to accept what doesn't suit you—it'll just be exhausting." Ahao said, still smiling.
I could understand what he meant by his words, reading between the lines—I thought Ahao was really too smart; in front of him there's no way to hide anything.
"Hehe, you mean Shangguan Yun?" I asked with a light laugh.
PS: Yangyang knows I've been slow with updates lately, but four chapters a day is already my limit. So sorry.
However, Yangyang suggests that everyone can first check out Yangyang's other novels, such as Arrogant Girl Living with School Hunk, Blossoming Happiness. Youthful Fragments, Chaotic Bar Love—these are all good, okay? Blossoming Happiness is already finished. If you like it, go support Yangyang's works too. After everyone finishes reading those, this story will get more updates.
