2974. Chapter 2974 Side Story: Participating in Shangguan Yun's Family Gathering 23

"What else is there?" Shangguan Yun turned around, looked at Gouzi, and asked.

"Since we've all happened to meet again, why not go eat together tonight? We used to play together since childhood; although we've always been sworn enemies, now we're fine—we're not enemies anymore." Gouzi said with a faint smile.

Upon hearing that, Shangguan Yun seemed to be stunned for a moment.

Perhaps even Shangguan Yun didn't expect Gouzi to say something like that.

It's clear that back then, their hatred for each other ran deep.

"How come? You don't want to? I know you're doing well in the big city, and I also know your family's strength and influence, but I just simply want to invite you to a meal, nothing else." Seeing Shangguan Yun's lack of reaction, Gouzi continued.

"Heh... I don't mean that, but tonight, having dinner with you might be impossible, because I need to go back to my grandmother's house to eat dinner together. I just arrived here, and my grandmother has already bought the groceries, so I have to go back tonight to eat." Shangguan Yun said with a smile.

"You really aren't giving me face." After hearing Shangguan Yun's words, Gouzi said with an unhappy expression.

"No, it's really like that; that's the fact. If you don't believe it, you can ask them—I just came back, my wife accompanied my grandmother to buy groceries, I went to meet them for a gathering, my wife definitely just finished buying groceries, and she was bored staying alone at my grandmother's house, so she went out for a walk, and as a result, you caught her." Shangguan Yun continued to say with a smile.

"What a coincidence." Gouzi still looked half-believing, half-doubting.

Really, just now, I checked the time and it was about right, so I wanted to call my wife, but I didn't expect you to answer, so I came with them to look for my wife. At that time, when I was making the call, I wanted to ask her when she would be coming home, to see if I needed to go home for dinner. Shangguan Yun continued explaining.
