Chapter 314: A Vague Unease 2

I felt so uneasy, so uneasy. If I had known last night, I wouldn't have run out so recklessly. It's truly self-inflicted, reaping what I sow, impossible to survive. I shook my head; anyway, saying anything now is useless, it's too late for regret. So I went into the bathroom, took a shower, thinking that after I finished showering, Shangguan Yun should be back.

The wait was incredibly long, incredibly long. I needed to find something to do, so that time would feel like it passed a bit faster.

After I finished my shower and came out, I still felt somewhat drowsy overall, so I walked over to the sofa, lay down, and watched TV. Time slowly passed, but Shangguan Yun still hadn't returned.

My eyelids felt heavier and heavier. I glanced at the time—it was past eleven—and Shangguan Yun still hadn't come back; waiting made me a bit impatient.

So I called Shangguan Yun again, but he didn't answer.

I don't know where Shangguan Yun went this morning, and he had just said he'd be back soon, yet he still hasn't returned; I feel a vague unease in my heart.

Lying on the sofa, hugging a pillow, the phone soon rang. I hurriedly picked it up and saw it was Shangguan Yun calling back. I hurriedly answered, saying, "Yun, where are you? Why aren't you back yet?"

"I have something to deal with right now, and I need to wait a bit before I can go back. Stay at home for a while; I'll be back as soon as I'm done. Wait for me at home, be good." Shangguan Yun said gently to me.

After hearing Shangguan Yun's words, I felt even more uneasy. I hurriedly asked, "Where are you? I'll go find you."

"No need, I'll be back soon. Be good, wait for me at home; I'm hanging up now." Before I could react, Shangguan Yun had already hung up.

I don't know what Shangguan Yun is up to, but my intuition tells me that something must have happened.

He told me to stay home and wait for him, yet he didn't tell me where he was. Left with no choice, I had to wait for him at Shangguan Yun's home.

Although I was extremely anxious, there was nothing I could do; I couldn't go out looking for him, couldn't just run all over the street.

My eyelids grew heavier and heavier, and eventually I fell asleep...
