34. Chapter 34: Again Meeting at KTV 2

After arriving at 'Heaven and Human World' KTV, Li Feng's friends said we were late and had us drink. My drinking capacity isn't poor; I said I could still drink, and I wouldn't pretend I couldn't or couldn't drink—I would drink heartily.

As long as I think I can still drink, drinking these won't make me drunk; usually I won't refuse.

In the meantime, I went out to take a call, standing in the hallway, chatting leisurely on the phone, when suddenly I felt someone lightly bump into me. When I turned my head, the smell of alcohol all over them stung my nose, and upon looking closely I realized it was Shangguan Yun.

What an ill-fated encounter—how could I run into him here too.

When he saw me, I felt his eyes full of anger; I hastily hung up the phone to leave, but unexpectedly he grabbed my arm and wouldn't let me go, staring at me with angry eyes, as if his gaze were a blazing fire scorching me, making me feel terrible.

"You said you weren't feeling well and didn't want to come out, so how did you run into me here again?" Shangguan Yun's icy tone rang in my ears. I felt bewildered; he questioned me with that tone—did I need to answer? It felt like I was cuckolding him. It felt like I had betrayed him; that kind of look is just like that.

"I don't think I need to explain all this to you," I said indifferently.

After hearing my words, Shangguan Yun slowly released my hand, then said with a hint of mockery: "Exactly, you're not anyone to me, so there's no need to report to me." Having said that, he walked away.

He left, and I headed toward the private room. As I turned around, I saw Li Feng walking toward me.

I suddenly felt guilty, as if I had done something wrong against him.

I didn't know when Li Feng had appeared there, nor whether he had seen what just happened.

I broke into a smile, jogged up to Li Feng, and said: "How did you come out?"

"I saw you hadn't come in for a while, so I came out to check." Li Feng also said with a smile, making no mention of my earlier encounter with Shangguan Yun—perhaps he hadn't seen it—and my heart suddenly felt much lighter.

"Huiqing called and we talked for a while," I explained with a smile.

Li Feng just smiled and didn't say anything else.
