386. Chapter 386 The waited-for happiness1

"How come you suddenly ran over to apologize to me again, and even said you believe me?" Shangguan Yun and I have been together for so long, after all he would have some understanding of me, knowing I wouldn't just run to his house for no reason to say these things, and moreover he had been squatting at his doorstep waiting all night.

So I proudly took out that slip from my pocket and handed it to Shangguan Yun's eyes, saying: "See? It's this. Why didn't you earlier give me this slip? Then I wouldn't be so sad, shedding so many tears."

Shangguan Yun took the slip from my hand and said, "How is this with you? Yesterday I left the hospital just to go home to find this slip, but I searched the whole room, the entire house and still couldn't find it; then I went out for a drink, and it turns out it was with you. How could it be with you?" Shangguan Yun looked at me bewildered and said. Shangguan Yun hadn't mentioned it, so I hadn't noticed, but after he said it I really felt as if the room had been rummaged through; if Shangguan Yun hadn't said he did it himself, others would surely think a thief had broken in to steal things, causing this mess.

"Do you still remember, when I came home yesterday I asked you for twenty dollars?" I looked at Shangguan Yun with a faint smile and said.

"Hmm, could it be that this laundry slip was tucked inside those twenty dollars, which is why it ended up with you?" Shangguan Yun suddenly said with a hint of realization.

I nodded and said, "Yeah, I took it, but after I took your twenty dollars I didn't use it, so I didn't notice the slip. Yesterday, when I had Liu Xi help me buy something to eat, it was Liu Xi who found it. Moreover, when he came back last night I was already asleep; this morning he went to school early for class, and it wasn't until evening that he casually mentioned it. Later when we looked for it we couldn't find it, and recently it was actually found by Lao Ma. Lao Ma discovered it when she was going to wash Liu Xi's pants. As a result, Lao Ma scolded Liu Xi harshly with this slip, saying he wasted money, spending it on laundry, and also said if he thought he had too much money, she would deduct twenty dollars from his living allowance so he wouldn't spend it on laundry again." At the end of saying this, I fell into Shangguan Yun's arms, unable to stop laughing; Shangguan Yun laughed along with me, hahaha, it's really funny—just thinking about Liu Xi being scolded by Lao Ma makes me feel especially amused.
