764. Chapter 764: Entangled Without End 13

I snatched the note from Lili's hand and said, "Give it to me."

Upon opening it, there wasn't much inside, just a caring message: "Xuanxuan, you look tired this morning; didn't get enough sleep? Did you eat breakfast? Want to take a leave and sleep in Qinshi?"

If Shangguan Yun saw these words, it would surely be disastrous; fortunately, the Class Monitor wrote the note to me instead of sending a message through you.

While I was hesitating whether to reply to him, Lili asked, "What, you're not replying?"

"I don't really want to reply, but is that okay?" After all, we're classmates, and we haven't had any fights or anything; besides, I even asked him to tutor me." I looked at the note, feeling embarrassed.

"Just treat this note as if I wrote it to you; replying is fine. Besides, it's normal for classmates to show concern—it shows we have classmate affection, so reply. There's nothing else, no love poems or ambiguous words—what's there to fear?" Lili said.

I looked at Lili, feeling she wasn't wrong, smiled and said, "Yeah, you're right—just treat it as friends; even if you wrote it to me, I'd reply. We're all classmates, no ambiguous phrases, no improper words—what's the big deal?"

"Exactly. So how are you going to reply to him?" Lili was really gossipy.

I bit the end of my pen, looking at the note, and said, "How should I reply? I don't know either."

Lili was also looking at me.

"Lili, what do you suggest I reply?" I really couldn't think of how to reply. This is actually hard to reply to; if it were Shangguan Yun who wrote it, I could reply however I wanted, but with the Class Monitor's note…

"Just tell the truth, after all you're with Shangguan Yun, and he's not unaware that you're with him, plus you don't intend to develop anything with him, so being honest is best." Lili thought for a moment and said.

I nodded and said, "Yeah, being honest will also let him give up on me, forget me sooner, and find the girl he likes."
