921. Chapter 921 Liu Xi's Mysterious 8

When we finished eating, I went with Shangguan Yun to wait at Xiaomenkou; there were still several minutes before lights out, and if I couldn't wait, I planned to let Shangguan Yun wait there.

Fortunately, Liu Xi arrived in time, Lin Chen also came, and Lin Chen followed behind Liu Xi.

Both of their faces looked not very good, as if something big had happened, and it seemed to be a big matter related to the two of them.

"Sister..." Liu Xi ran over to me as soon as he got out of the car, and Lin Chen also quickly followed behind Liu Xi and walked over.

When Liu Xi came to my side, I took out five hundred yuan, took back one hundred, and handed the rest to him saying: "Here you go."

Liu Xi took the money, smiled at me and said: "Sister, thanks." But I could see that his smile was rather fake.

"Liu Xi, do you have some trouble? If you do, tell me; maybe I can help a bit. Also, how much more money do you need? I have it here." Shangguan Yun said while looking at Liu Xi.

"I know, if I need help I will definitely come to you, but for now I can handle it myself, so I won't bother you; however, I still need to trouble you for this money." Liu Xi said somewhat embarrassedly.

Usually, the living expenses Lao Ma gave were not much, and he didn't waste them; only sometimes when he went out with Lin Chen and ran out of money would he ask me for it, rarely borrowing from others.

Now when going out with Lin Chen we also try to spend money sparingly; back when we first started dating, we always spent a bit more.

"It's fine, what's there to be embarrassed about? Don't forget, your sister is my wife, we're family; tell me, how much money do you need?" Shangguan Yun said generously.

"I still need... how about this: you lend me another 2,600, plus what my sister has here makes 3,000, and adding my sister's card with 5,000. Let me borrow 2,600 first; if I still need more, I'll ask you again." Liu Xi said after thinking.

"Good heavens, Liu Xi, what do you need all that money for? If you don't make it clear today, I won't let you go." I said, tightly grabbing Liu Xi's clothes.
