From the very beginning, when I was writing the story of the "Virtue-Lacking Dog" duo, I was quite happy too.

But later on, I started to hit a bottleneck.

The humorous and interesting tropes, the more I used them, the more they ran out.

I tried hard not to repeat myself and tried hard to think of more interesting memes; as time went on, the pressure began to increase sharply.

Five years ago, I was 23 years old, but three years later, at 26, a large patch of white hair grew on the back of my head.

I wondered what was wrong with me, went to check, and found it was overwork, accompanied by some mild depression.

I still pulled through, and then I even posted a single chapter at the time, announcing with high spirits that I was back.

As a result, two days later, I encountered a huge blow in my life; since it has already passed, I won't go into details.

Since then, my state of mind has been low again, basically updating once every two or three days.

By the time I finally adjusted my state and walked out of the trough, I had only resumed updates for a few days when I was hit by a wave of crackdowns in the web novel circle.

The entire book was directly banned, and rectification was required.

The word "vulgar" is very versatile; hundreds of chapters were required to be rectified because of "vulgarity."

I edited until I broke down; this was equivalent to editing away many of the fun memes in the full text.

The characters became uninteresting, the plot became strange, and as I edited, I couldn't go on.

Later, after finally editing more than half of it, the book was restored and released, and I continued to update, but by then the performance had declined severely, and I was struggling with the messy content I had edited earlier while writing, so my state was very bad.

To this day, many people still chase me on my TikTok, Weibo, and official account, asking when I will update.

I dare not reply; sometimes I silently try to update, but only a few hundred people are left subscribing.

Maybe everyone has already dispersed, but I think that's normal too; there are so many good books, why would you keep chasing mine?

In the past two years, I have also repeatedly hesitated about whether to start a new book.

But I have never been able to let go of the story of Xu Que and the others, so whether for myself or for the hundreds of students who have stayed behind to continue reading, I will still finish "The Strongest Anti-Trope System."

It will definitely be finished within 2021.

Of course, please rest assured, it will not have a rushed ending; if I wanted to finish it with a rushed ending, I would have ended it hastily long ago.

Then let's talk about the book "The Last Innocence in the Cultivation World."

I actually prepared quite a lot for writing this book. Under the suggestion of my editor-in-chief, the big boss Bei He, the opening was changed many times. Later, he still suggested that I not use this opening because the pacing was too slow, haha, but I insisted on using it.

Facts have also proven that he was right; many readers fed back that the opening plot was not attractive, etc. This is indeed my problem.

But I was somewhat mentally prepared, and I could foresee that it would be like this.

But it doesn't matter.

Writing "The Strongest Anti-Trope System," I have always written to "bring you happiness and joy." As long as there are one or two segments of the plot that can make you laugh out loud, my efforts were not in vain.

But now, for this new book "The Last Innocence in the Cultivation World," I am more interested in expressing some of the stories and thoughts in my heart.

I chose to use a flashy book title and wrote a superficially flashy plot, all to package the things I want to express, so that everyone can keep reading.

Maybe it's because there are too many private goods mixed in, and the plot pacing has been slowed down. Everyone says the opening is flat; in fact, it corresponds to my current state of mind, which is indeed very flat.
