Chapter 1322: Giant Python

Humans have a famous saying: A workman must first sharpen his tools if he is to do his work well.

Ten minutes later, Broken-Leg Sister let out a low growl. Xia Qing turned her head and saw Lord Cui Yan of the southern wolf pack leading three cubs, approaching the northern wolf pack's side. After being growled at by Broken-Leg Sister, the southern wolf king stopped and raised its head to quietly stare at the northern wolf king.

In the rising water mist, Cui Yan's and Golden Eye's gazes were equally dazzling. Snake-catching worker Xia Qing wanted to toss aside her net, pull out her phone, and snap a photo of the two fairy-like kings together.

Scarface Little Wolf immediately opened its mouth and caught them, took two bites, and swallowed.

Xia Qing, carrying the two weasels, changed position, scooped a net from beside Handsome Giant Wolf, and tossed it to the remaining two little wolves of the southern wolf pack. The two little guys also opened their mouths wide to catch it, chewed a bit, and swallowed.

After Xia Qing had fed them several rounds, the sound of water came from the left again, and Blind Tiger of the western tiger group slowly walked toward Xia Qing with a little tiger cub.

The northern wolf pack refused to allow it, and all members including the lead wolf bared their fangs and growled silently.

Blind Tiger stared at the northern wolf king and slowly walked forward, stopping only when it reached the southern wolf king's side, then turned its head and let out a low, clip-like sound toward Xia Qing, "Ao~~~"

Although Blind Tiger's howl wasn't cute enough, the three evolved tigers that had joined the southern wolf pack ten meters away were fierce enough. Broken-Leg Wolf sidled up to Xia Qing, nuzzling and pawing for meat. Once Xia Qing had scooped enough for her idol, she gave it two, then fed the main fighters of the northern wolf pack one by one.

The baboon group nearby suddenly let out short, sharp warning cries. The leaders of the wolf pack and tiger group simultaneously issued warnings, protecting the cubs as they quickly went ashore and withdrew.

Xia Qing ran a few steps, heard familiar sounds behind her, and turned to see a group of mottled giant pythons rushing out of the steaming hot spring lake. Without a word, she leaped onto Handsome Giant Wolf's back and hugged its neck tight!

Run, run fast!

Handsome Giant Wolf carried Xia Qing and the plucking cub at full speed, charging through the withered-leaf flower sea and out of the mist-shrouded basin into the dense forest, before stopping and shaking its body hard.

"Thanks, Big Brother Giant Wolf."

Giant pythons are cold-blooded animals; their body temperature changes with the environmental temperature, and they cannot leave the warm, humid basin in this season, so this place is safe.

Xia Qing jumped down from Handsome Giant Wolf's back and turned to gaze at the basin.

She couldn't see how many giant pythons were in the basin shrouded by water mist, but she could see twenty-odd giant raptors crying out and circling above the hot spring lake. Thinking about where she had just been soaking in the hot spring and catching little snakes, Xia Qing felt wave after wave of fear.

No wonder the wolf pack, tiger group, and baboon group were all so cautious; no wonder the lead wolf kept standing at the front, watching the hot spring lake surface closely. What they were guarding against wasn't just the raptors in the sky, but also the giant pythons in the lake!
