Chapter 135: Aftermath
Popular Recommendation:
"Allen Finis!" Several senior Slytherin students parted the crowd and charged toward Allen with fierce momentum.
Seeing this, the Gryffindor students leaped onto the stage and positioned themselves between Allen and the attackers, and the two sides faced off.
"Move aside! Finis injured Rozeir; we must make him pay for it!" Marcus Flint said angrily, standing at the front of the Slytherin group.
"Can't win a one-on-one duel, so you resort to a mob fight?" Fred mocked.
"Exactly! Fifth-years can't beat second-years, yet you still have the face to shout here. It's hilarious." This was George.
The other young Gryffindor wizards also argued back at Marcus Flint in a cacophony of voices.
Flames of anger burned in Marcus Flint's eyes; he suddenly drew his wand and pointed it at the young Gryffindor wizards.
"Marcus!" Snape's voice suddenly came from nearby. "Take Rozeir to the hospital wing!"
"Professor!" Marcus looked at Professor Snape in shock. "Finis severely injured Rozeir in the duel!" Marcus emphasized.
The Slytherin students behind him began to clamor.
"Take Rozeir to the hospital wing!" Professor Snape looked at them expressionlessly and repeated himself.
"Yes! Professor!" Those Slytherin students lowered their heads.
They walked over to Rozeir and used the Levitation Charm to float him in midair.
By this time, Rozeir's bleeding had stopped; he was still conscious, though his face was somewhat pale and he looked weak. He groaned softly, his clothes torn into strips. A Slytherin student took off his own robe and covered Rozeir with it...

Allen stood on the other side of the stage, unmoved by the gazes directed at him...
Only after those few people left with Rozeir did Professor Snape step onto the stage.
The young wizards blocking Allen's way made room, and Professor Snape walked up to Allen.
"You won, Finis!" Professor Snape said in a cold tone. "Now you may go down."
"Yes, Professor!" Allen bowed with some difficulty; he was not lightly injured either, though it showed on the surface.
The young wizards from the other three houses cheered for Allen, while only the Slytherin young wizards cast hostile glances at him.
Allen did not mind this. Before the fight began, Rozeir's words had already revealed the attitude of pure-blood wizards toward him, a Muggle-born wizard, and there were many wizards in Slytherin who favored blood purity theories.
If he wanted to live well, or rather, to achieve something, he would have to confront extreme pure-blood supremacists, because every bit of his success proved the fallacy of pure-blood supremacy.
So conflict was only a matter of time; peaceful coexistence was impossible.
Extreme pure-blood supremacists were not pleased to see the rise of Muggle-born wizards.
As Allen was about to leave the stage, someone suddenly darted up onto it: it was Lockhart.
Lockhart's face beamed with a cheerful smile; he affectionately put his arm around Allen's shoulders, preventing Allen from leaving the stage.
Once everyone had turned to look, Lockhart loudly declared: "Second-year Allen, under my tactical guidance, successfully defeated fifth-year Rozeir. This is a great victory and proves the excellence of my tactics. Everyone, cheer for us!"
Lockhart waved his arms toward the crowd, looking overjoyed. The crowd fell silent for an instant, then a wave of boos erupted, which was immediately drowned out by even louder cheers.
Allen wore an expression of helplessness. He looked down at the audience: Hermione was not cheering, only watching him with concern. Beside her, Harry and Ron kept up a steady stream of boos.
When the cheers and boos had subsided somewhat, Lockhart continued his announcement: "I will write today's events into my new book.
People only know that my power is great, not that my ability to guide others is equally great. It is time for people to recognize this aspect of me."
The cheers in the Great Hall grew louder again.
Allen's face now showed utter despair. He had not expected Lockhart to be so shameless and thick-skinned, claiming credit for everything.
Colin kept snapping photos below.
Seeing this, Lockhart whispered to Allen: "Lean in a bit closer, keep smiling!"
Then he yanked Allen even closer. The motion was too violent, jarring the hidden injuries on Allen's body and causing Allen unbearable pain.
"Click!" Colin's camera captured Allen's grimace...
After showing off a bit, Lockhart finally let Allen go.
Allen descended the stage with some difficulty. Harry, Hermione, and Ron hurried forward to meet him.
"You didn't need to step onto the stage for me; Malfoy might not have been able to beat me," Harry said guiltily.
Allen comforted Harry: "It's fine. My dragon-scale armor today had to serve some purpose! I also wanted to test the legendary defensive power of dragon scales."
After speaking, he punched himself twice with his fist, only to end up grimacing in pain.
Only then did he realize his whole body ached. Although Rozeir's spells had not caused direct injury, the few times he was slammed away must have left many hidden wounds; there was probably considerable bruising beneath his dragon scales.
While on stage, he had been holding his breath, so he felt little. Now that he relaxed, all sorts of pain surged up at once.
The pain made Allen unsteady on his feet. Harry and Ron quickly supported him.
"Quick, take Allen to the hospital wing!" Hermione suggested anxiously.
Then she waved her wand and cast a Levitation Charm on Allen, but Allen simply would not float...
Hermione was stunned. Thinking she had failed to cast the spell, she cast the Levitation Charm again, but the result was the same...
"Don't bother. The magical defense of dragon scales is very strong; the Levitation Charm you cast probably has no effect on me at all..." Allen immediately understood what was happening and said to Hermione with a bitter smile.
"It's fine. Harry and I will carry you to the hospital wing," Ron said, thumping his chest loudly.
But they discovered that Allen, with his dragon scales, was truly heavy. After carrying him for a stretch, they were panting from exhaustion, and Allen, due to their rough handling, grimaced in pain once more.
"No! This won't work! At this rate, I'll be tortured to death before we reach the hospital wing. Find a table, put me on it, then cast the Levitation Charm on the table!" Allen came up with a good idea.
Harry and the others quickly did as he said. After a flurry of frantic activity, they finally got Allen to the hospital wing.
Rozeir stayed in the hospital wing for only one night before recovering and being discharged. Allen's transformed steel-clawed wolf had not lengthened its claws, so although Rozeir's wounds looked gruesome, they were not very deep and were healed quickly.
As for Allen, though his injuries were lighter, the presence of the dragon scales blocked Madame Pomfrey's healing spells, so he could only be treated by drinking bitter healing potions. In the end, he too stayed in the hospital wing for one night.
